My dog brought me a half dozen mini-cupcakes this morning... and all he got was chewed out for stealing. I know the little bitch did not pay for them.

I heard about that. Very interesting research they're working on. Apparently one of the children's cancer care centers here in Seattle is going to start running a test where they'll take one new patient a month, who has already undergone every other option with no success, to run further tests on this method. It will be very interesting to see what happens with this.

On a completely unrelated note, Paul McCartney is going to be fronting Nirvana at a concert tonight, benefiting Sandy survivors. I'm really not sure how that's going to work. It will probably be wonderful, but I just can't picture it.

Neat! I had a few stays at the children's hospital there in Seattle when I was being treated.
Yeah, I'm sure which hospital is going to be running the study, if it's going to be Children's or another hospital like Swedish or Providence (probably not Providence). We do seem to do a lot of cancer work here in Seattle, though. It's one of the few redeeming things about this city (from the point of view of someone who desperately wants to get out of this place).

SDCC announced it's first guests of next year and...Paul Dini and Bruce Timm will be there! Welp...I know what my number one priority is, up there with Adam Hughes.

Where are you at? I can try and direct you to some aweosme con's near you. :)

But seriously, I'm in the same boat. Which is why I'm stuck driving for 13 hours to get to SDCC.

Well, I know there's Metrocon and Holiday Matsuri in Florida, but those are more specifically anime conventions. I'm not sure what you like. Dragon*Con is in Atlanta, so depending on where you are it might not be that bad of a trip. (And Dragon*Con is simply fantastic from what I hear.)

Isn't SDCC already sold out? I live an hour away from SD and just assumed I had missed out (they opened sales about the same time I moved back).

Edit:

Apparently that was just the presale at this year's con. Online sales aren't till early next year. Also $150 what the hell. I remember when it was affordable even for a high schooler.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but the Chinese national postal service just beat out Fed Ex for sending my Christmas presents home. Speed, service and price..just damn. Fedex wanted $500 to ship my stuff home. Ridiculous.

The end is nigh.

And this is what we have to look forward to when the USPS is gone. You think Fed Ex is going to give flat rate boxes? Like hell it is.

Yeah, nope, it's not sold out yet. They haven't said when tickets will go on sale, and they're only doing online sales this year, but they've said sometime in early 2013.

Seriously, if you're interested in getting tickets, I'd read up about it on their website - they've changed a few things and it's kind of...confusing. But yeah, it's not sold out yet. You should try to go! We could have a Halforums meet-up party! (If BananaHands still wants to go. I know I'll meet up with heatherling again if she's going. The 4 of us could party it up.)

$150 is down from last year. Last year it was $175 (which made me cry.), so, I'm trying to stay positive. :)

YEAH JUST TELL ME WHO I NEED TO DRESS UP AS AND I'M IN.

I always find it funny how in every other story, the Tathagata Bhuda is practically an evil tyrant. In one story he arrested a freakin' scorpion for stinging him! Do you know how crazy you have to be to arrest a scorpion? Pretty damn crazy.
