Whats for Dinner?

My other regular forum (GotMead.com) had a bot like this recently. The user popped up in a bunch of different threads and never did or said anything that specifically screamed "bot," it just seemed like someone using English as an other-than-first language. There was always a thought that it might be a bot, because it kept alluding to having all of this great info, but never posted any of that info. We weren't certain until it happened across a Commercial Meadery review thread, and the beginning of the post was in that broken English, I'm trying to muddle my way through a bad translator speech pattern to it, but the second half of the post was just a direct quote from a newspaper story about the Meadery.

I think someone is actually trying to teach their bot how to speak English, and has just turned it loose on forums.

American pizza nowadays is usually ground beef, bacon, salami, bbq sauce and corn.
I don't know any pizza place that puts corn on pizzas, and most places that have a BBQ sauce pizza make it with chicken.

Personally I think the most iconic American pizza is pepperoni, or plain cheese.

While I'm sure there are a few "avant-garde" pizza places that would put corn on pizza, I think the people in Germany who are making this pizza and calling it American were probably just working off of their knowledge of real, American foods. And what (besides apple pie) says America more than fresh corn on the cob, BBQ, and hamburger/ground beef?

Canadian pizza has ham that we call bacon, baby seal, and fine, Alberta beef. And it's served chilled to a divine -40 degrees (Celsius or Fahrenheit, you can choose!)

Corn on pizza is a very Japanese thing. I wouldn't be surprised if they made the "American" pizza and it just kinda got spread around from there.

China too. Hell, I've been finding a lot of corn crap in Shanghai. Corn ice cream, corn in my sausages, corn...juice. They even take corn kernels and heat them till they pop.

Assholes.

So, eating relatively healthy. Had mashed cauliflower (instead of mashed potatoes) with a little cheese in it, chicken in tomato sauce and roasted rutabaga.

Surprisingly tasty.

No offense, but here's a little rule of thumb: "Healthy" food that tastes like crap/air/nothing alone + enough cheese to make it taste good = not healthy anymore

Similar to how if you drown anything in enough butter and garlic and suddenly it tastes good (like escargot).

A little cheese. A little, like a sprinkle. Less than an ounce. I'm very aware of what a lot of cheese does. It was mostly flavoured by garlic and ginger. And the tomato sauce on the chicken was little more than canned tomatoes, pepper and garlic and some herbs.

Oh the chicken sounds fine and all (doesn't need much to taste good), i just meant that I've never had mashed cauliflower that didn't taste horrid unless there was enough stuff in there (butter, cheese, whatever) to stop having it be healthy anymore. And same goes with most foods of that type. There are healthy foods that also taste good, but they don't taste like air by default either.

Cheese is not inherently unhealthy, nor is butter.[DOUBLEPOST=1363976183][/DOUBLEPOST]
And I actually like corn on my pizza.
I think it sounds good, depending on what it's paired with. I might have to try it myself sometime.

Ya, but the "point" of a lot of foods like was mentioned is low calories, and dumping the amount of fat that butter works out to is kind of against the point.

I agree that cheese and butter are great things, but you have to be aware of what downsides there are too.

I think the key would be a good pizza sauce. Definitely not the normal marinara-esque sauce to make it work, but something different definitely could make that tasty.

Yesterday: Spaghetti with a cabbage and bell pepper sauce, and spare ribs.

Today: Lamb-chops with mashed potatoes and an assortment of vegetables.

Broccoli baked potato. I also made a practice peanut butter pie (gonna make one for mom's retirement party). It's still chilling.

My food is not pretty enough to take a picture of--or when it is pretty enough, my phone camera doesn't really do it justice.
