Again, the Foglios over at Girl Genius haven't missed an update since I've started reading it back in 2002. Sometimes the pages will go up without color (like when the colorist was in the hospital) but they have NEVER missed an update.
This is probably because Phil and his wife were professional artists years before Girl Genius, but it still doesn't explain why THEY can do this on top of their consistent Magic: The Gathering works and other projects, as well as conventions... while Steve Kuntz can't even put a copy and pasted 4 panel strip every day.
No, the problem with a reset is there was no point to watching THIS time in the maze when compared to the how many thousands of other times they went through it if they aren't going to succeed this time. Why focus on this battle if they have to go through it again?!?

Unless the knowledge left to them from the Oblivion holes allows them an advantage. I mean, they could scream through this thing as they know what lies ahead...until they get to the zombie area at least.
Considering we've been here a really, really long time, somehow I doubt it. For the maze to reset, someone has to cross the threshold. I would wager Minmax somehow uses the sword to save and/or kill Psionic Minmax and they escape the maze.
Our only choices are Minmax and his team succeed or Psionic Minmax unmakes everything.
And that's assuming that everything Oblivious killed doesn't stay dead. I'd be willing to bet they do, which makes our team's next attempt all the easier.
But yeah, if they don't retain their knowledge from this time, a repeat would be dumb.
Or... this just occurred to me, it looks like there's an open door to the blue circle... what if Psymax gets knocked through and inadvertently "wins" this round, being removed, and everything else resets? And then, I dunno, one of the oblivion holes ate the HAP's counter?
Hasn't Gutters missed a few times? Though admittedly, I recall Sohmer apologizing for at least one of them, *and* he's working with multiple artists doing work in their spare time, so the likelihood of it happening for Gutters was always higher.
While I still have hope, I have to say that most monsters didn't get a -10, either. Only people with class levels. So....Assuming she never actually levelled, she wouldn't necessarily show a -10, but instead die at 0.

Perhaps not. In this strip, the owlbear shows minus HP, and it probably did not have class levels, either. But notice how the hobgoblin snapping it's neck did not yield a -10 HP rating. It could be that insta-kills do not show -10, and it only gets shown when a somehow relevant character or monster is bleeding to death. And yeah, with her entire snake section being blown up, Kin #156 ought to be a part of dungeon scenery now.
Chunky Salsa Rule. She didn't get a countdown because she ether died from massive damage or an instant kill effect. This means it's going to be difficult to raise her too, as I'm pretty sure you need a mostly intact body to raise someone and she is literally EVERYWHERE.
How does loss of a limb work? It's possible she's alive but is the equivalent of a paraplegic. Alternatively I know some people play with a rule where if you lose more than 50% of your HP in a single attack you can go into shock or even die if you fail a saving throw.

There really aren't any official rules for this in 3.5 or 4th, though you'd lose some of your dex if you lost a hand in 2nd. But seriously... she's been blown in half. Magical healing can probably stop the bleeding but if she had any important organs below her waste, she's kinda fucked in the long term. Raise Dead won't bring back her lost lower half. Her only options right now...
-Raise her and then use Regeneration to bring back her snake half. 5th lvl spell followed by a 7th.
-Resurrect her (because it fully restores the body. 7th level spell
-Reincarnate her into something else. 4th level spell.
- Use a Wish or Miracle to bring her back. 9th level spells.
- Find an item that does one of these things in the next 5 minutes because they aren't going to be able to do shit once they leave.
Honestly, I suspect this is Thunt ether writing Kin out of the comic because he can't have a yuan-ti without facing potential lawsuits from Wizards anymore or this is how he's going to turn her into something he CAN use in the long term. If she's not just GONE from now on, then I suspect he's going to go the Reincarnate route and ether make her human or something else.
Ok, the comic out a while now, I think we can dispense with spoilers.
There may be something to the above - in the "winning" room, there turns out to be a whole lot more on the wall than the teapot. One could assume there might be an object which can do just that in there, though it would mean losing the teapot forever...

I don't think it works that way. If WOTC really wants to make a legal issue of a yuan-ti in the comic, he would have to excise ALL instances of kin, including pages already published. Writing her out of the story but leaving the pages with her on it in the back archives won't satisfy lawyers, so I doubt this is the impetus. Really, my gut tells me the only thing they'd bring issue with is the use of the actual word/term "yuan-ti," so if they did, simply changing that word to "snakeperson" in all the back pages would do the trick. I wouldn't think so. Psionics isn't really "magic" per se, it's a highly disciplined and awakened mind - in Psymax's case, he's basically rocking an incredibly advanced version of telekinesis. He can move things and rip them apart by their component molecules (at least that's how I interpret his turning things to a liquid), but I doubt he could even do any low-level healing much less a resurrection.
It's a relic created by her tribe. It teleports you anywhere (or to anyone) you want, but it leaves itself behind when you go. Thus, their initial deal was Fograth and Minmax were going to use the teapot to teleport to the Goblin Adventuring Party, it would be left behind for Kin to return it to her people (the long way).
Definitely not. If you go back to the entrance room of the maze of many, you see Psymax killing his reality's Fograth and Kin, and because he's destroyed his reality's counter, they remember all 800,000+ times he's done it.
