So apparently steam immediately ran out of keys for the Witcher at the start of the sale. I should'a GOG'd it. Same prices there (2.50 for witcher, $5 for witcher 2), and no hint in the forum they're having key problems.

And no DRM so you cn play it when not connected, keepyour own copy and not worry about either service crashing or going bankrupt ;)[DOUBLEPOST=1377357275,1377356999][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, it's a sad day when there's a huge Total War sale, and I already own everything in the packs on sale. Everything. The Grandmaster Pack, the Master Pack, whatever. All except the "battles" games, but eh.

Don't Starve is on sale, ~$7 for one, or two for ~$11. Looks like @ThatNickGuy has it on his list, and several others already have it.

Is it any good?

Sale lasts for only another hour or two.
It's pretty good, and always being updated with new things. It's about exploration and survival, and has a neat Tim Burton style art aesthetic. I'd definitely say it's worth $7

@stienm - Do ignore his intro, I have no idea why he does them so terribly but he does very comprehensive reviews and is hands down one of the best youtubers out there:

If you prefer a more serious tone:

The new Humble Weekly Bundle is a pretty damn good lineup of games.

Fuck, a person could blow 5 bucks a week and never be without more new games than they could possibly play forever.

https://www.humblebundle.com/weekly

Europa Universalis 3
War of the Roses: Kingmaker
Warlock: Master of the Arcane
Leviathan: Warships
Dungeonland
The Showdown Effect
Magica
Crusader Kings 2

For 125 and over you get like 48 God damn games, but lets be honest, none of us are spending 125 dollars.

Also, 50 Greenlight Games are on sale on Steam.

The ones that immediately pop out to me are Euro Truck Simulator 2, Surgeon Simulator, and Gnomoria. Although I'm a huge Dwarf Fortress snob, so I'll probably be too elitist and hipster to buy and play Gnomoria.

EDIT: Oh, Rogue Legacy and Papers Please are in there too.

Already own too many of those. Plus, no cash. But really, own most of the interesting ones :p[DOUBLEPOST=1377847458,1377847213][/DOUBLEPOST]How had I never heard of "Warlock"? it's in the Majesty world, which I like, and it sounds and looks like fun! Not "awesome super next big AAAAAA hit", but fun! Huzzah!

Oh, and Crusader Kings 2 I'll probably love too. So, yeah, good bundle, and stuff.

It's not on sale per say, but it is for sale.

gog.com has I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream up now. The game is an old school point and click adventure where you take on the role of one of the last remaining humans on Earth, tormented by the super computer who brought about the end of mankind. It was based on a short story by Harlan Ellison, who also provides the voice of AM, the super computer itself. I don't even know how well this would play today. I have a feeling that it may be a smite too archaic for most people now.

Their promo video, I think, would have been better if they had left the "hate" speech intact instead of cutting it up like that.

"Hate. Let me tell you how much I've come to hate you since I began to live. There are 387.44 million miles of printed circuits in wafer thin layers that fill my complex. If the word 'hate' was engraved on each nanoangstrom of those hundreds of miles it would not equal one one-billionth of the hate I feel for humans at this micro-instant. For you. Hate. Hate."

Humble Indie Bundle 9
- Trine 2: The Complete Story
- Mark of the Ninja
- Eets Munchies Beta
- Brutal Legend
Beat the Average for:
- FTL: Faster than Light
- FEZ

Yup, I'm grabbing this one. I want FTL and Fez, and I'm curious how I'll like Brutal Legend. I loved Trine 2 and highly recommend it.

It's a good bundle, but from previous Bundles and GOG promos, I already own most. I think Trine 2 and Eets Munchies are the only two I don't have. I own Trine and haven't played it, so why bother with 2 yet, and the other's a beta, so pass. But, if you don't own some of the others, it's a very nice bundle indeed.

I liked Brutal Legend, for what it was.

It tries to bring the RTS genre to a console friendly format and that rarely works very well. But it does an OK job. It's kind of like Sacrifice if you ever played that.

See, I think Brutal Legend failed because it tried to be an RTS too hard. The problem was that once the later battles started, if you even TRIED to fight as Eddie, you'd lose and quick. So you'd spend the entire match in the air until you needed to play a solo, then you'd do that and start flying again. So every story mode battle played the same unless you needed a certain unit for ONE task.

- Eddie's moves were useless because any time you used them, you weren't micromanaging your units.
- The Deuce was useless because anytime you were driving was a time you weren't micromanaging your units.
- Face melter would kill entire squads of enemies on it's own, meaning half the songs were pointless.

What needs to happen (if a sequel ever happens) is they need to shift from RTS and turn it into God of War meets DOTA/LoL. Your army still helps out and you can call for certain, specific units if you need them, but most of the action is focused on you fighting other big name heroes. This lets you use all of Eddie's moves, while still having that big army, heavy metal battle they want.

I'm tempted, even though I already have FTL from GoG (haven't played it yet though). The other games seem to have pretty solid reputations, generally.

More Humble Bundle goodness:

Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter,
Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter,
Shadow Warrior Classic Redux,
Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition

Pay $6.00 and get:
Hard Reset Extended Edition,
System Shock 2

Interesting that it's not a "beat the average" deal this time. Still, though, six bucks for System Shock 2 is tempting.

La-Mulana is currently on sale on Steam for $3. This is a steal, buy this game right now.

La-Mulana is a metroidvania style game with a focus on platforming and puzzle solving, while surviving the deadly traps and monsters within a vast ruin. It's awesome, and hard. You will have to remember clues and find your way, it will not hold your hand.

It's an asskicker alright. It's seriously a game to play with a like minded friend. Two brains are better than one for a lot of the puzzles.

I need a break from brick hard 2D games for a bit.

You could play Dark Souls for a brick hard 3D game.
