Limited edition Zelda: A Link Between Worlds 3DS XL coming in November:

Confused as to why the AC Adapter is not included; that seems kind of shitty.

Isn't that the norm with the 3DSXL? I thought it was missing something important that pissed people off when it came out.

Looked it up, I guess it doesn't come with one in Japan or Europe and the PEGI logo paints that as a Euro model.

And now I see it's only coming out for Europe.

... the bastards.

Still the best Final Fantasy in my opinion.
The only reason I'll disagree with this is because Vagrant Story counts as a FF title now that it's part of the Ivalice Alliance. I honestly feel like Vagrant Story had a story with far more twists and turns, while having just as much strategy as Tactics did. It's REAL CLOSE but I'm giving the nod to VS. It's a fucking shame we never got more of the series.

I'd agree they had equally amazing stories but I'm giving the bonus to FFT because of the bonus dungeons/secrets and the ending was just the perfect wrap-up.

Ahh... but Vagrant Story had the Iron Maiden, which was a bonus dungeon you could only access once you beat the game. It also had boss time trials and lots of hidden stuff to find.

So, Lego Marvel Superheroes comes out on Tuesday and there's still no page up for it on steam. Even though, it looks like it will require steam to work....

Everyone in the Steam Family Sharing group has been added to the beta.

I hope to test it out myself this afternoon, see if I can't let my sister and her husband have access to my library. I'll let you know what I find out about how it works.

The company who made Garry's Incident Day 1 decided to get Youtube to remove TotalBiscuit's review of their game that was largely negative (for good reason).

Big mistake.

I think they're done now.

I had never heard of this game before.

Now I've heard of it, but I'm also going to never buy it, and I'm going to treat everything this studio makes with suspicion.

People are going insane about this.

I expected this when it happened yesterday but damn... worst move ever.

Time to see who Youtube backs: the assholes who give them money or the assholes who will sue them into oblivion. Personally, I think they'll back the people who can destroy their business, if only because its cheaper and easier.

Regardless, there is an excellent chance that many game devs may be... hesitant to work with this guy in the future. Whether right or wrong, many devs don't want to deal with a guy who is willing to publicly call them out on their marketing andimage protection practices. I say this as someone who was blacklisted more than once in the old days.

The change needs to come at a governmental level. If enough people realize that this is a free speech issue, and not just a technicality, but a fundamental threat to one of the most cherished rights in US history, then maybe there will be some change. If the DMCA weren't overly broad in the powers it gives to corporations, or there were more explicit protections of fair use, then Youtube wouldn't have it's head on the corporate chopping block.

I feel for Google a bit here. They clearly did not acquire Youtube for the purpose of inserting themselves into the DCMA discussion, which is why they default towards a "get a complaint, ban the video" approach. That way, they cannot be sued by the party claiming infraction for non-compliance with copyright laws, and they have an arbitration process in place for appeal. It's certainly not perfect, at all, but they're not in a great position to be fighting this fight given that they specifically don't police content themselves beyond actual pornography or obscenity.
