[Movies] The Upcoming Movies Trailer Thread

Love me some Stephen Chow, can't wait.
I've seen this. It's very good. Stephen Chow isn't actually in it, he's just the writer/director/producer, but his trademark humor's still recognizable in the movie. The humor's a bit more overtly dark than some of his other work, like Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle, but still quite funny.

Although if you're expecting the traditional Journey to the West story, you're in for a big surprise.

Finally, I notice in the trailer they've digitally added pants to the naked guy on the dock.[DOUBLEPOST=1388111941,1388111726][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, words cannot describe how much I want to watch Kung Fury.

So, they had the new Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer before The Hobbit, It pretty much confirms that the Rhino is going to be more in line with the Ultimate incarnation with him being mechanical. It actually looks exciting, but then I think back to how much I hated the first one.

A friend of mine dropped of a copy for us at Christmas. He said reviews were mixed, but much like your description, it's very dark and not for kids. He also said the Son Wukong was more of a monster. I got the impression from the trailer it was more "in association with JttW" than a straight-up adaptation, but I haven't gotten around to watching it yet.
It's not a Stephen Chow movie without some guy's naked butt. ;)

HOW monsterous? Does he smash somebody into a bloody pulp or does he just roar? Not enough Journey of the West adaptations focus on the brutal nature of Sun Wukong in my opinion.

Minor spoilers:
He both smashes and roars people into bloody pulps.

He is also clever, scheming, manipulative, and oddly charming when he wants to be. Basically, he's the perfect monster.

FUCK YES! Sick of adaptations making him look like some silly monkey, HE WAS THE KING!
I thought Dragonball Z did a decent job. :p

:hide: Don't hurt me, people.
Its one of those parodies so loose that it evolves into its own bizarre type of awesome. Its kinda the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles of Japan(in terms of parody comics becoming huge).

The Zero Theorem

This looks like the most Terry Gilliamest of Terry Gilliam movies. It looks incredibly twisted, but I bet it'll be fantastic.

There's a new movie on the way based on a video game: Sly Cooper.

I loved the Sly Cooper games, so I really hope this is good. I also just found out today that they are doing a Ratchet and Clank movie too.

I never played any of the Ratchet and Clank games, but I've been told they're good.

As much as I don't want to pay Seth MacFarlane... I think I'm gonna have to see it. Cue the rationalization - at least it's not a bunch of recycled Family Guy jokes this time, right?

Even Family Guy is recycled Family Guy jokes.

Also preview of the Super Bowl ASM2 trailer, looks like we have Green Goblin on the roster, too.
This isn't your fault, but it's a TRAILER for FUCKING TRAILER. It's a PREVIEW of a trailer.

I am sick to death of those. So goddamn sick. Just release the trailer or don't bother at all.

So, full blown Sinister Six.

Okay, I'm in. It's probably going to be a trainwreck, but I feel a need to see them try to cram that many villains into one movie.

The fucking garbage dialog between Aunt May and Peter just reeks of Kurtzman and Orci. It sounds exactly like the garbage dialog they wrote for the Transformers movies. This film is going to be stupid.[DOUBLEPOST=1391387797,1391387233][/DOUBLEPOST]

Now, this looks terrible. I don't mean the movie itself (that's just a given) but the effects themselves. I hope those are just early unfinished special effects because holy shit this looks cheap and shitty.

Wow. Bay even manages to make the fucking DINOBOTS look bland and boring. Why must they colour wash everything? Why is Optimus Prime the only one allowed to have different bright colours?
