[TV] Talk about the last TV you watched, the catchall thread

Watching Derek on Netflix. Wow, I wasn't expecting to watch this and enjoy it so much. So strange and wonderfully awkward.

I've been meaning to watch this, heard it's fantastic. Netflix also does a terrible job of marketing their original shows with a few exceptions.

I've been watching Breakout Kings on Netflix. It was a good little crime procedureal show. Not great, but worth a watch. It's basically DC's Suicide Squad without any super powered beings.

it's worth it for me. It's fucking hilarious, and is from the same DNA as veep and in the loop, which i adore.
Have you seen the Thick of It? BBC series that started it all. I believe there are four seasons in total, and they're fairly short. I fucking love that show. I'd say it's better than Veep and In the Loop (though I enjoy both; especially Veep)[DOUBLEPOST=1389632306,1389632276][/DOUBLEPOST]
As much as I like the show, Andy Samberg is not the high point.
Andre Braugher all the way

True Detective: A cop show where nothing happens... I could not look away for a second. Completely fabulous. McConaughey is brilliant and chilling. Woody Harrelson IS many of the cops that I know...

Brroklyn 99 is still the best comedy on TV right now and here's a little tidbit, Chelsea Peretti and Andy Samberg are childhood friends. Here they are off to their 6th grade graduation.

I finished up the second and final season of Breakout Kings. I absolutely loved the season finale, but unfortunately, it ends on a cliffhanger that will never get resolved due to the show being cancelled. I hate that.

Yeah, I was really bummed by that. Great show they culled too soon.

I think one of the major reasons it never took off was because it was on A&E. I think it would have had more legs if it were on FX or USA.

Just watched the second episode of Chasing Shackleton. These guys are nuts, and I'm incredibly jealous. I wish I could see and do half of what they do, but I know I won't. It still annoys me a bit at the amount of oversight they have during their journey. Their approach to South Georgia bothered me the most so far, and their attitude getting ready for the final trek too. Both of these have a lot to do with the fact that they have backup and don't have the lives of others on the line, so they seem to take risks they shouldn't.

Interesting show though. Can't wait for the final episode.

Watched the first and second episodes of Hannibal. Excellent. If it keeps this up, I'll be sad when it's prematurely canceled.
Season two starts in a few weeks. It's a joint production with a european company and a US company, and they've said publicly that if it's cancelled, they can/will shop it around to the cable networks.[DOUBLEPOST=1389875504,1389874936][/DOUBLEPOST]
Well, that latest episode of How I Met Your Mother wasn't very good, huh?
I kind of tapered off watching with the vague idea that I'd catch up before the finale, then getting kind of turned off by the final season gimmick, BUT

on a scale of one to cloud atlas, how bad was the yellowface? I've only seen the screencaps which were......bad enough

I don't know. It just felt like a Family Guy or Scrubs side-joke that went on too long. As in the whole episode too long. HIMYM is usually better than that, but this season also had that dreadful rhyming episode, which sounds hilarious but was terrible in execution. Again, funny idea that shouldn't have been the entire episode.

This week marks the point where I am officially looking forward to next weeks Marvel's Agents of Shield more than next weeks Downton Abbey.

The new Archer season started up and I didn't even notice! Argh. To the torrents!

Also, too much filler in my Grimm lately. They've established themselves, they don't need to keep pushing the "monster of the week" angle any more I don't think. It makes the "Austrian Royals" arc go too slow.

Without spoiling it for you, I think it's a nice way to shake things up a little on Archer without being world-shattering.

New Community ep was funny, especially the ending joke.
I can totally see Pierce dying the way he did. Well...not willingly as the image is now BURNED INTO MY MIND- but it is still hilarious.

So, Chozen, um, exists. Why do people feel that if they are going to create a gay character who doesn't fit the effeminate stereotype that they have to make them insatiable cockhounds? I think the latter is an infinitely more terrible stereotype than the former. I think it may speak to the way in which pop culture views both gay men and men in general. In this show, really the ONLY reason to make the main character gay is to throw in a bunch of gay jokes about prison rape. Classy. as. hell.
