Reset the game after killing the dragon?!? I don't know how I feel about that. I do like the fact that things would be new and wonderful again and there's some things I would do a bit differently. Hell, I guess I could get behind that. Suck to lose all my villagers, though, those door-opening noisy bastards.

You can just reset the end too, no need to reset the whole world.

Ah! I misread your post. I didn't see that you said to just refresh the end. I'll be available all weekend if we want to give it a shot.

Yeah, I believe you can just delete the DIM folder that contains the End dimension, and it will "refill" as new.

That's good for creative mode but that's about it.
The fill will be nice for repairing damage someone may do while excessively mining sand. I know there's a few of you out there... Or filling in water if you need to make things look pretty.

I think it may be fun to randomly place some of those kill pads around on our server. :ninja:

It'll be interesting to see what people come up for with skins now that you'll be able to add layers too.

Yes, but these commands won't be available in most multi-player games. I mean, in ours we have like 3 commands.

You would think that, but there are some very good reasons for doing so in Survival.
Specifically, command blocks can be set up by Mods to allow regular players to do things that are not ordinarily possible ("Press button to make it daytime," for instance).
The clone mechanic essentially enables the building of replicators (insert block, press button, remove copy, press button again, etc).
Oh dear. I see much potential for abuse.
...and so much potential, too.

Hey, just what is "excessive" and what's it to ya?!

Did you read somewhere that they weren't? I was under the impression these command blocks would make it available to all in vanilla. Which if you ask me is a dangerous thing. I didn't even trust you guys with that power when we had addons that could do it. You'd have broken shit beyond all belief or repair.

Well sure. Any truly powerful tool is a truly dangerous tool. The problem will be here that we're basically turning over the keys to editing reality (not mining, crafting, and building but editing reality) over to every individual player. Regardless of expertise, temperament, motivation or consideration.

I believe the tools are only available to designated OPs or admins.

We don't have command blocks enabled for our server. If we wanted to I could add some in. They can basically run any command an OP can, so you can use them to make transporters or traps that don't require pressure plates, along with pretty much anything you can think of.

I can see in creative mode how these things would be useful to fill up space or whatever. Or in "adventure" mode. Lots of uses, just not much for a survival map, since you can't legit GET those in survival anyways!

Also, remember that those commands will be able to be used by mods even without a block. So remember to trust your mods!

Oh! I just remembered to finally post this.

IF you were the recipient of @Shakey's holiday generosity (ocelot egg) AND it was in a chest that he made and left there for you, THEN be careful...I discovered that the chest my egg came in was a trapped chest, which might be a bit of a surprise if you happen to plunk it down next to a redstone track, a door,...or even a TNT block.

Separating the men from the boys, I guess.

If you listen carefully, you can hear @Dave in the background yelling at the animals to stop trampling through his rosebushes.

"Why did we bring Old Man Dave with us?"
"God said He owed Dave. Something about giving Him 'that great Big Bang idea.'"

I missed one little joke and Cheesy got scared. He said, "You're moving with your Auntie and Uncle in Bel Aire."
