Happy belated birthday, Ravenpoe. Today, the doomweasels and I shall not oppress you.Today's my birthday, I'm 29. Of my family, only my grandfather seemed to remember, and called me this morning.
Thanks, Pawpaw.
Hope you recover fast.Been sick since Friday. Spent Saturday and Sunday moving my aunt from Chula Vista to a local senior apartment complex here in Murrieta. She basically can't do any kind of lifting/labor/etc, so it was all on my dad, brother and I. Furniture was crazy dusty, cat hair all over everything, and putting about 8-10 hours of work into each day. Was about to go to bed on Sunday only to find my dog decided to piss on my blanket, so I was up till 2 or so waiting for that to wash.
Woke up this morning feeling sicker than I have in years. Skipping class today. Hating life a little.
Did you try turning it off and back on again?Shakey said:I hate when people have just enough computer knowledge to think they know what they're doing. That's actually what I was trying to get them to do. They suddenly couldn't print a pdf, but can print from every other program. They didn't want to restart their computer though. I'm not going to spend an hour screwing around on their computer until they've at least done a full restart. It's a laptop that has probably just been hibernated for the last 6 months.Did you try turning it off and back on again?
Oh, and don't go twelve steps ahead, either. Do what I told you to do, stop, and wait for further instructions.I hate when people have just enough computer knowledge to think they know what they're doing. Have you had your thyroid checked recently? Why isn't my period regular or as regular as before...
I hear that. I get both sides having to call in to support for various stuff we have. It's pretty easy to tell the difference though. It's usually when someone starts explaining why they don't think they need to do something and it has nothing to do with what you're trying to get at.The flip side is that it's incredibly frustrating when you do know what's wrong, but you have to go through the whole script anyway.
Let's hope he doesn't later ask "did you like my folio?"I realize I just called a child dumb. Make no mistake--I love them. But good lord.
It's okay. We (fellow teachers) all feel your pain. I wanted to smack one of my students so badly today. And it's only 10:15 am here.I realize I just called a child dumb. Make no mistake--I love them. But good lord.
But you didn't call him dumb to his face and that counts for a lot.I realize I just called a child dumb. Make no mistake--I love them. But good lord.
Yep, haven't done that. Yet.But you didn't call him dumb to his face and that counts for a lot.
Then after a while, it just seems I'm arguing with people that I only see once a decade or so...Man...its seems I have been calling out a lot of bullshit on Facebook lately.
