Bioshock Infinite on sale thru monday for $7.50 on steam. If you haven't picked it up yet, this is a good time to do so.

It looks good but I think I'm done paying for early access stuff. Not even because I'm upset about them never hitting features they claim they will have but more because I'll play through them in their incomplete state and typically never have the will or drive to return once they are done.

Yeah... I'm fine with waiting 6-12 months and picking up both of the DLCs for $5-10 each. Not paying $20 each and I'm sure as hell not encouraging them to keep doing season passes for DLC that doesn't exist.

I bought the season pass a fucking year ago so I'm just gonna play it right away. I can't believe it's been a year. And then he fucks over the studio. Goddamn.

I mean, it's been so long that now I'm itching to play through the main game again, but I feel like I have to wait since I want to finish out the last DLC first.

For those of us unwashed console heathens... Bioshock Infinite for the 360 is $10 & all of the DLC is half-off thru the 31st.

Burial at Sea Ep 2 is not half-off however.

Galactic Civilizations 3 is Early Access right now for only 99.99.

OH WAIT, THIS IS THE WRONG THREAD.

I meant to post this in the Gaming Rip Offs thread.

I haven't played Final Fantasy VII in years, a scratch on my PS1 disks keeps them from progressing passed an early boss battle. Is the PC version worthwhile? I vaguely remember reading about bugs on it.

I own the original PC version, but haven't attempted to play it on windows 7. I don't know about the recent rerelease they did a year or two ago. However, I do know where a copy or two might have fallen off a truck, if you're not picky and don't ask many questions.

Edit - oh, it's on sale on steam for 4 bucks today. That'd probably just be more convenient all around. CURSE YOU REASONABLE BUSINESS MODEL, you're destroying piracy!

I played FF7 on the PC, and the only issues I ever ran into was it being really picky about 3D video card support. I heard all sorts of vague accusations about how awful the PC port was, and how it was so different from the console... but no one could ever tell me why.

Have any of the fan patches with high res textures and such been ported to the Steam version at this point?

It had different midi versions of the music for one, but I think Square actually fixed that in a patch because of all the console nostalgia-baby whining. The PC midis sounded superior in most cases.
