Games on SALE!

Battlefield 3 is free on Origin.

Not a bad game, if you're willing to pay that price.
On the one hand, I don't like first person shooters, but on the other hand, it is the most efficient way to be verbally abused by 12 year olds, if that ever becomes necessary.

That's what I'm afraid of. I've never had the patience for creator-mode stuff in games. Never really enjoyed even, say, building houses in The Sims. Or the patience to learn how to create levels in Little Big Planet.
It's probably still worth the $6 for the games they offer. To The Moon is probably worth that price alone.

Personally, I'm getting the entire thing. They aren't kidding when they say the entire product line is something like $370 dollars.

Jeez, they're STILL making RPG maker? I pirated a copy of that back when it was RPG Maker 3.

Though.. technically.. isn't "RPG Maker VX" just... bad latin for 5?

Then you really won't have patience for this, because not only do you have to create the sprites, environments, etc; you have battle imagery, balancing, item setup, some minor coding. It's less a game and more making a game.

However, as Ashburner indicated, there are games made using RPGMaker and you would need the program to play them.

You don't need it for Eternal Sin or To the Moon. Both of those games are stand alone. But some games DO require the resources and engine of the main version.

It does come with a very large resource pack of already created tiles, sprites, images, sounds, music, etc, so there is something there to tinker with without having to create the things yourself. Of course, you still have to put them together.

Also, I think (but am not certain) that the free trial of rpg maker can be used to play games, it just can't be used beyond it's trialness to create games.

You also have to come up with a silly purple prose name that has nothing to do with the actual content of the RPG.

Gamefly has regular skyrim for $9.99 today. Not legendary, though.

Flash deals are one-hour-long this time around, apparently they really like those page views, what with their previous insomnia sales as well....Anyway, I'm not going to post all their sales all day long :p

...Fuck it. I went to check, and literally every game on my wishlist is on sale right now. Bastards. I already have too many games!

Welp, just bought the remake of Leisure Suit Larry, Theme Park, and The Cat Lady via the GoG sale. Only paid a little over $8 for the lot of them.[DOUBLEPOST=1402761595,1402761442][/DOUBLEPOST]By the way, I thought I heard somewhere that GoG has their own client similar to Steam now. I don't see it on their site, though. Where can I get it?

http://www.gog.com/downloader

Also, if you go to your games list and click any game, it'll give you the option to install via the downloader, and give you that link to install it if you don't already have it.[DOUBLEPOST=1402761844][/DOUBLEPOST]It's not really like steam though. It's more just a seperate downloader manager, you still use the website to browse.
