Japan and Taiwan have a few people who've been streaming 3DS Smash Bros with broken street date copies. Spoilering in case anyone wants to keep the unlocks and whatnot a surprise.
Dude is still streaming, so more stuff will likely be found by tomorrow morning our time.

The three weeks between the Japan release and the NA release is going to feel like eternity with these kinds of info leaks. I may have to abstain from Tumblr until October 3rd, or something.
I've been checking out some of the leaked info.
Duck Hunt Dog's moveset looks to be all about the NES Zapper games, whether summoning objects from them, calling in enemies from Wild Gunman and Hogan's Alley to fight, or even calling in the Zapper reticle to do a series of shots. In fact, his Final Smash has him doing his classic laugh as the target gets caught in a crossfire between the Wild Gunman and Hogan's Alley enemies. In short, it looks like he'll be the Nintendo equivalent to what they're doing with Pac-Man.

Nintendo sent out Smash Bros 3DS demo codes to a limited number of Platinum level Club Nintendo members. Each gets four codes. Everyone can do the demo next week.
Of course I get the Tomodachi Life demo early, which I tossed to my wife since that's her thing, but don't get an email for this one

So there it is. Microsoft to announce their acquisition of Mojang on Monday for 2.5 billion.
My guess to the first order of business, stop all support and work on anything to do with Minecraft. Begin work on Minecraft 2, exclusive to Xbox One. No PC version is planned at this time, but Microsoft promises that it hasn't forgotten about PC gamers.
When Minecraft 2 isn't as popular or as inspired as Minecraft, Mojang will be rebranded Rare Sweden and will be devoted to developing family friendly Kinect titles.

See... this just seems dumb to me. 2.5 billion? How they hell do they expect to make that back in the 3-4 years the investors are going to want? Even putting out a Minecraft 2 seem dumb because there's a high chance that there isn't anything they could do that modders couldn't for the original. Why buy a new version when the modders are all going to be working on the old one?
I'm not saying they won't make the money back. They will. But it's going to take like 10-15 years.
So apparently they've confirmed a movie adaptation of "The Last Of Us", and Sam Riami's the producer.
I honestly hope he doesn't direct. This seems like it would be a shoe-in for Alfonso Cuaron, though it would in many ways be an odd retread or spiritual successor to Children of Men. That movie has the exact right tone and atmosphere for a The Last of Us movie - the story of a vulnerable woman who may be the savior of mankind, and the man who's been entrusted to protect her from a hostile, dying world.

Yeah, I've heard of that. There hasn't been any word of who would direct, but apparently they've been talking to Maisie Williams (Arya Stark from Game of Thrones) about potentially playing Ellie.
How about Ellen Paige? I bet she could pull it off.

Addendum to my Smash Bros demo review: Villager is friggin' OP. So many times I should've been dead meat, but those balloons floated me back from way off screen.
It's some of the original team too. I'm hoping we get Deja Vu 1 and 2.
I actually backed the Kickstarter and got it awhile back. It's pretty good, though I haven't played it much. Don't take that as an indication of quality. I go through weird moods of what I feel like playing.
Tetsuya Nomura is no longer directing Final Fantasy 15. Instead the director is Hajime Tabata, the guy behind FF Type-0 and Type-0 HD.
I feel like this is a smart move... Nomura can do great stuff when he's given the freedom to be as weird as he wants (like in The World Ends With You), but I feel like he's directly responsible for the problems I had with FF10 and 13. His style over substance doesn't work in a long form game like Final Fantasy.

Ladies and gentlemen, the first Final Fantasy game in the main series that I will not ever be purchasing. After XIII, I just can't. Plus, straight up modern day cars and emo outfits. Nope. If I wanted to play modern day teenagers fighting fantasy style, I'll stick with the Persona series, thank you very much.

Like I said a few posts up, it's not Nomura doing it this time. I'm not really sure what to expect.

Grand Theft Auto: Mysidia?
The mix of modern, fantasy, and futuristic stuff intrigues me and the gameplay looks to ape Xenoblade. If they can get their heads out of their asses into telling something akin to a coherent story, I'm down. By the look of the environments, they really don't want to hear one word about railroaded areas.
Now we just need to take bets on which will come out first, this or Kingdom Hearts 3. My vote goes to this, because there is no such thing as Kingdom Hearts 3.

Nomura was moved to KH3 explicitly to get it done in a timely manner. I suspect it'll be 2 years away and FF15 will hit the year after because it'll look better on the books that way.
