My son just got into Yugioh. What's up with the "blue eyes white dragon" being the most powerful? Arayan dragons? Who made this game, Hitler?

Why, it's almost as if the whole thing was just a vehicle to sell cards and toys to kids!
Ironically... no, it wasn't. The US didn't get Season 1, which was about Yugi basically torturing assholes with games made up on the spot. One time a guy tried to rob the burger joint that Teah was working at (illegally), so Yugi does a Shadow Game involving a lighter and some booze... end result was he lit the guy ON FIRE.

It only morphed into a vehicle to sell the cards after the Duelist Kingdom arc... the game didn't even have RULES at that point and didn't become like the actual card game until Battle City.

The actual card game might have come later, but I guarantee you there was toys/merch. There is not a kid's show on earth whose real point is not to shill merch.

It probably did (it did well enough to get a movie before the card game stuff), but it started as manga and THEN got a show.. and really, the biggest thing they try to push in Japan are the DVDs.

The manga didnt start with the card game, the manga and by proxy the first series(they basically restarted it to be more kid friendly) were about how yugimoto shared his head with the spirit of a dead pharaoh who was pretty much the Japanese punisher. I have them lying around my office somewhere, the guy robbing the burger shop is pretty much the most prolific example oh how crazy it started out.

I am still constantly amazed by texting. I send words to someone a thousand or more miles away nearly instantly. And it's so transparent that we have the unmitigated temerity to complain when a selfie doesn't instantaneously go through.

This "instant" communication has only been around since the mid-90's, and look how absolutely essential it has become in only two decades!

What's a good name for a comic book about two genetically engineered super walrus brothers who fight crime? I am at a loss, and I'm usually great with names.
