Moose. All Moose.I'll just have my friend, Candaian Franklin ask you for permission...
I have no idea who is on Canada money.
One moose per dollar. Admittedly the $100 bills are not friendly to those with a minimalist sense of aesthetics.Moose. All Moose.
Even a plastic one?You don't put your finger inside the trigger guard until you are ready to shoot.
Yes, even a plastic one. Trigger discipline is a vital habit to get into.Even a plastic one?![]()
I've never once even held a real gun in my life.[DOUBLEPOST=1414636481,1414636361][/DOUBLEPOST]Yes, even a plastic one. Trigger discipline is a vital habit to get into.
Heh, yeah, they kinda do. Ah well, I kinda dig it. They're a bit of ridiculous in the "serious" photos. I'm okay with that.I keep feeling like your shoes are out of place.![]()
Even a plastic one. It's a habit to establish and to keep. It's the second lesson of gun safety in my house, first lesson: Treat every gun as if it were loaded, at all times. Form the habits.Even a plastic one?![]()
I didn't want these fun little pictures to turn into a debate about gun safety. Again, I've never owned or even held a gun in my life. I wouldn't have two clues about handling one properly.Even a plastic one. It's a habit to establish and to keep. They're just commenting on how someone who does use a gun regularly would handle it. Don't take it too seriously. It could be useful knowledge for your writing though.I didn't want these fun little pictures to turn into a debate about gun safety. Again, I've never owned or even held a gun in my life. It'll make your pictures look cool, too. Well, even more cool.I didn't want these fun little pictures to turn into a debate about gun safety. Again, I've never owned or even held a gun in my life. I wouldn't have two clues about handling one properly.
As I said on my first post, "nice photos."I didn't want these fun little pictures to turn into a debate about gun safety. Again, I've never owned or even held a gun in my life. I wouldn't have two clues about handling one properly.
I feel like you need a sidekick...Turns out, an underground parking garage makes for great shots.

Except the one where he's pointing it at his forehead. The rest, yeah. Just that one made me cringe. "I'll just raise the brim of my BLAM"Meh I get that your hearts are in the right place but it's fun pictures with a toy gun. Besides if you want to get pedantic he's pointing it at the bad guy so presumably he's ready to shoot.
Nah. I took a quick and dirty attempt in PS at it for ya.You guys are making me seriously consider just reshooting that one pic with a slightly different pose.
Shit >_<[DOUBLEPOST=1414644476,1414644251][/DOUBLEPOST]Ok, fixed the shadow. Not bad, but you missed the shadow.

Someone else might do better, I have a hard time with photoshop tasks that don't involve making boobs bigger.

This. I remember stumbling over a sci-fi story online that was very thought out, had characters I liked (characters who were all different people, even!), and was pretty cohesive, and then we get to a part where one of the main characters "...readied his revolver, clicking off the safety..." [paraphrase] and I was all, "Buh?" It was very jarring. It didn't ruin the story, but it was still very distracting. They're just commenting on how someone who does use a gun regularly would handle it. Don't take it too seriously. Actually, there are a number of revolvers with manual safeties.This. And a number of semi-automatics without them.Actually, there are a number of revolvers with manual safeties.
Quite so. Lots of argument about whether Glock's "trigger safeties" are actual safeties or not.And a number of semi-automatics without them.
I don't remember the specifics (it's been a while since I read the story) but I think it was a Python, and I know those don't have safeties. Not even the "half-cock" kind.Actually, there are a number of revolvers with manual safeties.
Yeah, if you're going to use a specific make and model of anything in a story, you should do your research on it to make sure that you don't make any factual errors. People who are familiar with the thing (be it a gun, car, stereo, or whatever) will instantly lose immersion in their WTF moment.I don't remember the specifics (it's been a while since I read the story) but I think it was a Python, and I know those don't have safeties.
