Well, on top of it being the season 2 finale of Next Generation, it was also pretty poorly written. The author really likes to let us know how many times someone presses their lips together so they are thin. Spoiler, a lot.
Speaking of baby dragons, did anyone else squee when Awbee shows up to help during the last UBRS reboot fight?
Honestly the only thing I am not super keen with the new UBRS is they didn't do enough to change it. It feels like they just swapped out NPCs but all the fights feel the same. Still have to kill all the opening rooms to open the door. Still have to kill that guy on the platform. Still have to fight waves during the "Rend" fight. I was hoping for something a bit more fresh when it comes to zone flow.

I'm hoping there's more to the fights in the "real" version, and this was just to give a taste of the Iron Horde to us. The first boss is the only one that's new, really. The second is a tank 'n' spank of the highest order, and the last is just Rend on a new dragon.
But yeah, I was happy to see Awbee make a return.
I must be the only one without a Halloween mount. Holy long queues Batman!!
Did they add any updated drops this year?
The rings were updated to IL 540.
They also added some new bonus items like two ghostly cat pets and a Lich King outfit that lets you turn into the Lich King for a period of time. (though for some reason it's not a toy and instead a limited use item with 50 charges).
They hotfixed the costume, it's going to be year-round and I think chargeless. However, it's going to cost enough that it would be the only thing you could buy between it and the pets.
Also yeah, all the Horseman's loot is 540, helm and sword included. You can loot him as many times as you want, just like the UBRS-Lite bosses.
Also also, if you haven't run SoO LFR yet, LOOT CORPSES AND CHESTS! You don't get auto-rewarded anymore and can miss out on gold/items/etc if you don't loot.

I'm not a huge ilvl stickler, as long as you are LFR geared and know how the Garrosh fight works/know to not stand in purple smash. As long as I know you at least. If you start dragging along other people I dunno. 
I am probably going to get my Mage carried for a staff, because I spent 3 hours getting the lockout last night for my friend. Hence why I am less picky, esp. since filling to 30 makes it a joke as long as people don't die when they shouldn't.

Well I wouldn't mind going but ya my gear ain't that great. I don't really raid often, I don't really enjoy it, but I wouldn't mind getting the good heirloom. I can just stand in the back and heal if needed.

So if anyone's been farming Frogs on Timeless Isle for the tokens, bring some Potions of Luck with you. Dude on the WoW subreddit made like 5k after an hour of farming.
I was lucky I guess, because I got into a Downfall LFR just before it went offline. Once I killed Garrosh and tried Horseman to get my candies it just kept saying "paused", decided to skip it, since all I really want the candies for is the pets, and I have plenty of avenues to gain those without running Horseman every day (though that would be more enjoyable then flying all over the place)
I still wish I had the time to actually see end game content. I hate that some of the most important lore stuff is in content a huge chunk of the playerbase will never see.
I basically have to wait for expansions to get far enough along for me to be able to solo/duo/5man raid content if I want to see it.

You could buy most all of the 522 gear as it's gold-based now, not Point-based. I want to say it's like 200g per item, give or take. Also, HH drops 540's and the new UBRS drops 550's, and I think you only need to be like ilvl 510 or so for SoO.
I tried again today on all of my 90s
The drop rate is super low these days, I think less then 1%.I tried again today on all of my 90s
I got lucky, as a bug caused the drop rate to increase by 9% over what it should have been the first year they changed over to the queue system. I got three horses that year out of the pumpkin bags. Never seen one drop since.
So as of about 20 minutes ago I have every class at 90 on WrA. Now I have to decide which one to swap Ally-side tomorrow when I get paid. I'm thinking either the DK or the Mage, I'm not sure.

Yo, @DarkAudit, did you completely dissolve the guild on Ghostlands or just kick all my characters out?
