Lot of talk that certain Amiibo are already discontinued. I'm not missing out on future ones and pre-ordered the ones I could on Amazon. I am NOT missing out on Mega Man, damnit.

Wow, thanks for this. No wonder I can't find Villager :(

If anyone else is looking for these, Toys R Us has them buy one get one 40% off right now, plus free shipping. And this includes preorders of anything not out right now. Online only.

Yeah, Megaman isn't out yet. He' probably going to vanish overnight though.
Yeah that's why I jumped on the TRU thing after what Zappit said since it includes pre-orders. I grabbed Megaman, Toon Link, Ike, and Sonic. Unfortunately pre-orders on Lucario and King Dedede are already sold out. This is just going to get crazier.

Some analsysts are predicting Nintendo to make BILLIONS this year, thanks to Amiibos, and basically turning Nintendo into the most dominate force in the industry again. I'd be more excited about that if Nintendo was learning anything from it's time as the underdog.

It's learning that knocking off Activision = money.
It's not even that... Nintendo has big plans for these things. They already have plans for other games, which is more than Activision has done. It's just I don't think they'll ever do the one thing EVERYONE wants, which is to integrate these into Pokemon. Hell, they could just release generic pokeball ones to hold your team for tournaments, Stadium, or other spin-off titles...

Wii Fit Trainer appears sold out as well. I'm pre-ordering Mega Man; I had no intention of giving a shit about these things aside from being happy for Nintendo, but if I can put Mega Man into more games, bring it on. These would be a good fit for Mario Party 10. The characters in that game are all just playing pieces anyway, identical in function, so letting you insert your character of choice to play as would make sense.

Nintendo's going to make a killing not only because this idea has already proven successful in the past, but they have the most recognizable video game characters.

I can't wait for Sony to try doing this with the characters of Playstation All-Stars.

They said they won't be making any more Stadium-style games since the regular games are now in polygons, and they couldn't do every Pokemon as an Amiibo since there's 721 of them so far (and more to come in the next year or so, I expect), but the Pokeball for tournaments would be a good idea.

Right now it's Marth, Villager, and Wii Fit Trainer that appear to be just gone. There are conflicting reports about restocking, but Nintendo released a statement that just didn't sound too promising.

It's not just the characters, it's the brand. Nintendo doesn't put out shit, period. Parents know this and that they can trust the content coming from Nintendo. This is why they sell so well.

As for PSAS... that franchise is dead. They axed the studio (for some reason... it wasn't their fault the game didn't sell) and stopped supporting the game, despite future DLC in development (such as Dart from Legend of the Dragoon as a playable character).

Imagine being able to play Pokemon Mystery Dungeon with your main game characters and have them improve because of it or being able to trade a pokemon with your friend by sticking them in a pokeball and just giving it to them? Maybe it COMES with a special event pokemon when you buy it? There are a lot of things they could do with these.

That's weird. I was on TRU this morning, and pre-ordered Lucario. It does say they're out now, so maybe I'll be getting an e-mail canceling that soon. I'm hoping I just got lucky and they got more to sell for the pre-orders.

That's a good point too.

I know; I just wanted to make fun of it one more time.

Late Monday night they were out. Tuesday morning I decided to check again and they were there so I grabbed two :D

So what good, crafty and sandboxy world builder type games are you guys playing? I been buying a few on Steam when they were on sale for cheap but the only one that didn't disappoint me was Planet Explorers. Which I need to start playing again to see what they have patched since last. To clarify, I prefer games that are more about building and crafting and less about PvP.

2 planet explorer vehicles I designed myself when I was in the mood for some silly carnival cars:

Holy shit my fucking eyes! That's like some "Xavier Renegade Angel" type psychedelic shit right there.

It just looks like someone installed their mods wrong to me. That's what it looks like when the game tries to load human model meshes onto a horse skeleton.

Guy trains his Pikachu Amiibo to do nothing but spam thunder, just like human scrubs do. WHAT HAS SCIENCE DONE
