Goddamn, already? Geez. Guess I'm getting the Monster Hunter one.
Well, they updated the article with a link to Best Buy, who still has it. Of course, that doesn't mean it'll be there if you're not able to get it now.Goddamn, already? Geez. Guess I'm getting the Monster Hunter one.
Some of the Amiibo news is stupid though. For instance, if you've been using a Mario Amiibo for Smash Bros, and want to use the same Amiibo for Mario Party 10, you'll have to delete the Smash info from that Amiibo first, erasing everything you've done with its digital character. That's garbage.
On the other hand, dropping Fire Emblem characters in Codename Steam looks like a lot of fun. Hell, that whole game looks like a lot of fun.
And speaking of Fire Emblem, the Direct started with announcing a new title in the series for 3DS, but I feel like we all forgot it because Nintendo kept dropping info. Within a single week in February, New 3DS, Monster Hunter 4, and Majora's Mask 3D. That month will see the second wave of Amiibos, a free Pokemon puzzle game for download ... honestly it's more than I can keep track of.
It's also completely fucked up my game-getting schedule. Iwata made a big deal about North America not being ready for the New 3DS, then bam, two months later, it's coming. Kind of annoying. I just bought a gelaskin for my current 3DS and wouldn't have had I known. I wouldn't even be going for the New 3DS right now, except Monster Hunter 4 is apparently going to use Smash Bros-levels of CPU. Better to get it out of the way and save myself $20.
Really depends on what it can do for you. Since you don't have the Wii U anymore (ya loser), maybe it would benefit your 3DS Smash Bros?Hrm...Im REALLY having a hard time deciding if a new 3DS XL is really worth it...

My wife and I and planning to play a few hundred hours of Monster Hunter together, so it's worth it for us.
That's a ton of garbage. I have two words for Nintendo "cloud storage".Some of the Amiibo news is stupid though. It's not even about storage, it's about selling more figures. That's a ton of garbage. I have two words for Nintendo "cloud storage".
Pretty much same; I think my joy came from playing with my siblings, and my wife hates Smash Bros. I'm pondering trading in the Wii U version (stuck with the 3DS one since it's a download).Meh, I think I'm done with Smash Bros. I think all those years I had fun with the previous ones was due to actually playing with my brother. Playing alone, or even online doesn't have the same effect. I still play it on occasion, and I wouldn't call it a bad game (it's good), but I don't have the same excitement over it.
Actually, they've done a few. In late 2013, they had week-long sales per character (Mario week, Megaman week, etc.). In September 2014, they did weeks based on groups of characters. Pretty much all of their core series got decent sales on good items, (i.e. all Zelda games, all Mario games, etc.). They've gotten the hang of it; they're just not doing it frequently. Doing it frequently can devalue the product. Look at Atlus--their games are amazing, but they do sales every other month, so no one but their ardent fans are going to bother buying their stuff full-price knowing it's going to drop pretty fast and often.Slight correction to my earlier post: those first Wii titles games I mentioned will be the ones at half-off. Here's hoping Nintendo starts doing more with eShop sales in the future.
Except Atlus gets people to buy full price by doing extra stuff. The only reason a lot of people bought Persona Q and the most recent Persona 4 Arena is because they wanted the official tarot deck that only came with first editions.Actually, they've done a few. On the physical side, yes. But the digital versions get those sales bi-monthly and the digital versions don't get those perks. The reason I don't have a ton of Atlus memorabilia around my house is because I largely get the digital versions so I can have them to play whenever/wherever. Granted, I buy those digital versions full price, but I'm an Atlus fanboy.Except Atlus gets people to buy full price by doing extra stuff. Atlus knows damn well what it is doing.
I'll take one, my brother loves the series, I'm sure he'd kill to give the new one a try.I may be able to get one Monster Hunter New 3DS. Will have to discuss first with wife.
In other news, got an email from Nintendo--I have Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate demo codes! I have two spare to give out, so is anyone here wanting one? I forget who here plays.
Sent!I'll take one, my brother loves the series, I'm sure he'd kill to give the new one a try.
Thanks! He should get a kick out of it.Sent!
Sent! All out of codes. I recommend glancing at some beginner tips in case this demo is as merciless as the last one's demo (which was not a great representation of the game). Unlike MH3's demo, this one is multi-player, can be played with people local or online. If you still have another one, I'll take it. I've never played the series before. Maybe its worth the investment.
I was literally about to post that. Evolve sounds like AIDS.
Sid Meier's Pirates! ...in SPACE - YES PLEASEAnother starship strategy game, this time by Sid fuckin' Meier.

I await this one dick in hand.
Now I'm even more conflicted.
It probably will be. I'm 75% towards still getting it.That's a shame, because the Let's Plays of Evolve that RT did looked really good.
