[PC Game] World of Warcraft: Catch All Thread

Look what I got...
For those that don't know, Blizzard sent off a surprise gift for fans that have been subscribed to them for nearly the full ten years the game has been active. It's a mini-statue of the larger metal statue they have located in the courtyard of Blizzard HQ.
Congrats! :)

I did not qualify I am pretty sure because I quit between the announcement of TBC and sometime after TBC launch plus some time in the end of MoP.

I don't understand people not knowing mechanics. The dungeon map has clearly laid out guides on what to do for each role, what attacks to look out for. It literally spells out the mechanics for every boss encounter.

Seeing as this is my last week off from school, I'm going to be letting my subscription lapse just for time. I was hoping to get my mage up to 100 before school started, but I'm only at 74 now, and I already have stuff I have to get done for school.

You think people actually read shit?

It's like Star Trek movies. Every other area is shit.

Old World: These new designed quests and storylines are pretty fun.

Outland: FUUUUUCK THIIIIS SHIIIIT

Northrend: Ahh, the best expansion.

Cataclysm: bleck.

Pandaria: So pretty!
I just finished leveling my Panda Monk to 68. I couldn't get to the Howling Fjord fast enough. There is NOTHING fun about BC content. NOTHING. The early parts of Hellfire keep my attention, but Zanger, Tekk, Shadowmoon, and Netherstorm suck so much ass. Nagrand's quests are still all over the place - the only palatable ones are the hunting ones from the Nestingwary Safari. I like Blades Edge for the geography and design, but man the quests are all over the place as well. BC content makes you appreciate how well the devs started refining questing to make it at least interesting.

Cata stuff is alright, as it's conveniently taking place in Azeroth. I hate the water zone, but I like Hyjal and the underground zone.

Pandaria is fucking gorgeous geography wise. I LOOOVEEE Valley of the Four Winds and the Mountain regions. The Jade forest is pretty awesome too. The only area lacking for me personally is that corrupted zone beyond the great wall of Panda.

Annnnnd it's set to lapse in about a week. That $15 can go towards a cable for my bass instead of a game I haven't played in nearly a month. But I'll be back... eventually.

I've got a couple limiters - I don't really want to be raiding for 12+ hours per week, I won't do Wednesdays, and I'm trying to find a guild that has a spot for both me (ret pally) and a friend (hunter). I imagine something will come up eventually, but I'm pretty frustrated with the number of lockouts we're wasting in the meantime.

Well, after complaining we went 7/7 Heroic tonight in a pug. If we could find a place to do that regularly I'd be completely content.

I am not allowed to be in normal/heroic raids for Twin Ogron or Imperator Mar'gok because I have the annoying bug where I explode mines/die in a fire without actually being in them.

Yeah, Imperator took a few wipes to kill, everything else was a pretty simple one-shot. Heroic is really just normal with higher expectations, the mechanics don't change.

That said, it does make it even more frustrating that my old guild couldn't pull their heads out of their asses long enough to kill more than one boss on normal.

Ours imploded due to the raid leader's nastiness and general drama. I'm too old for that lol. If I resubscribe I will do PUG or Openraid. I had a great weekly Garrosh group with them.

Can anyone point me towards a good guide towards hunting through the old content for b-pets and mounts through the old content? Something that actually does them by zones/levels, and not just an info dump?

Thanks

Think I'ma let my sub lapse for awhile. Garrison Tycoon's not much fun and 6.1, now that the Iron Docks quest hub is pushed to 6.2, is basically a shitload of stuff that should have just been in the release of WoD plus more Garrison junk.

WoW went from holding my attention to completely losing it in the span of a month, that's impressive in a kind of sad way.

Bunch of patch changes, new blood elf models, blah blah blah, but this... THIS!

Added a button during flightpaths to get off at the next stop.

FINALLY!

I spent so much time trying to hunt down an heirloom item I was missing in my collection. Ended up being on a lvl 11 human monk that I played with my son once and didn't play since on a random server.

So happy that the old heirlooms count for the 1-90 versions of the new system. Going to save me sooooo much gold. I still dumped a good 10k though on filling up some missing ones and upgrading a few.

I realized last night that I will finally be able to power my last couple of characters through the monotony that is MoP much easier now and I was happy.

Yes I am very happy that the new system, when updated, goes to 100. I loved that about the system in Wrath, how it went to cap, and then they fucked it up in Cataclysm by leaving it at 80 (or in MoP when we were at 90, raising it to only 85, because fuck altoholics). I also like that they are allowing us to upgrade pieces using holiday currencies, too bad getting 75 elder coins makes my soul bleed a little.

I still have not found my cloth heirloom pants. It's making me neurotic.
I had a similar problem last night because I couldn't find my Heirloom Staff, started freaking out that I deleted it or something. Finally remembered that I still had it on a level 92 warlock in the bank. Phew.

Also the new chopper is hilarious. I have yet to try it out at level 1 though. I wonder what speed it gives at that level...

I think it's just 60, but I wasn't actually paying attention. I made a blood elf so I could marvel at how Blizzard made then even more bitch faced.

Hello, my name is Necro and I'm an addict.

Over the weekend and after a number of drinks I decided it would be a good idea to reinstall WoW. I was 3 years clean (last play date according to the armory was april of 2012).

I was an end game DK tank, now I'm.... I'm not sure. they stripped all my talents, my gems are gone, etc etc.... Pandaria seems pretty cool, I played with a monk, went over as my main toon, but I still find the same complaint I used to have and that is that questing, exploration, etc, it's just so hold your hand babying through. It feels less like playing and more like ... I don't know how to explain it but do I really need you to hold me hand and be my training wheels through even the tiniest thing? I've got a big giant dot to go to for everything....

Yet, I'm still kinda having fun, learning the new changes to my toon, maybe I'll get back to a point where I can do some tanking and etc, but, might take a bit
