If we called them ketchips, we'd have to come up with a punny name for dill pickle chips too, and that's just not possible.
Dill Chips.

Except in Nick's books, that would be horrible. I can just see it now, man following Dill everywhere, picking up his poo, bagging it and selling the bag as snacks.

Greater Philadelphia con(ironically not IN Philadelphia), a DAMNED good three days. Saw some good panels including Christy Romano of Kim Possible fame, got autographs from Mark Dodson and Clive Revill(both of whom I could listen to for HOURS), the end of George Takei's panel he's super funny, got some great comic deals(though if I were to make it early on Friday I'd get ALL the books I wanted), saw the pilot for Losers" and lots of great cosplayers. A solid three days/

Is it in Cherry Hill by chance?

Oaks, Pennsylvania, like two buses from 30th street station. Is there a con usually there? If so I'm going next time.

ALSO- I'm feeling some serious phantom wrist-band syndrome, it ALWAYS feels weird.
Oh I'm not sure. I just remember that Greater Philadelphia Area usually means Cherry Hill. Wasn't there a con in Hammonton once?

Ha ha ha... I don't follow NCAA basketball AT ALL (really I barely ever watch sports entirely, to tell the truth), but back at the beginning of march, the fellas around the office were shootin' the shit and one of em asks me, "Who do you think will win it all this year?" And I just groped in my mind for a well known college basketball team, something like the Yankees of b-ball.. and remembering my time at Fark.com, I just said, "Duke."

WELL GUESS WHO WAS RIGHT. Ha. I should have put money on it. Ah well.[DOUBLEPOST=1428419880,1428419800][/DOUBLEPOST]
Ok so if there's a grain of truth in most expressions who the fuck thought baptising with fire was a good idea?
The meaning of that message is not that it's a good idea, it's that if you ARE baptised by fire, and make it out, you're tough as hell.... because most people baptised by fire would not survive.

As I was taught, "baptism" is a test of faith, and a "baptism by fire" thus refers to the burning of the early Christians - who had to face fire as the ultimate proof of their faith. Various other interpretations exist.

No no I've done no research into this subject so I'm rather confident when I say it started with the ancient Hispanics of Western Saskatchewan dipping babies into lava flows of the late Cambria period.

There are no late Cambrian lava flows in Western Saskatchewan. They're all late Pleistocene. Clearly ,this disproves your position. DIMWIT.
