I saw that. I thought it was a joke at first.
Jubilee and Jean Grey!
Considering this film will be set in 1983, Jean Grey, Cyclops, and Storm will all be younger in this than the other films. So will Nightcrawler and presumably Angel.Jean seems awfully young. Jubilee does too, but she's supposed to.
Wouldn't that make Jubilee a baby? Or I suppose they're just making her previous cameo non-canon.Considering this film will be set in 1983, Jean Grey, Cyclops, and Storm will all be younger in this than the other films. So will Nightcrawler and presumably Angel.
Yep. That little cameo she had back in the first film is now non-canon.Wouldn't that make Jubilee a baby? Or I suppose they're just making her previous cameo non-canon.
Are you referring to 2x Jump Street or films starring women for female audiences? Both are pretty hot trends right now.Sony Pictures is a clusterfuck of idiots eagerly trying to cash in on whatever trend they think is hot.
There were three choices to go with, and you got the two wrong ones. Are you referring to 2x Jump Street or films starring women for female audiences? Both are pretty hot trends right now.
It was even underlined! There were three choices to go with, and you got the two wrong ones.
The style on display there is a little more late 80's than early, but I don't care. That's the year I was born!Considering this film will be set in 1983, Jean Grey, Cyclops, and Storm will all be younger in this than the other films. So will Nightcrawler and presumably Angel.

It's not a matter of viability, it's that it's fuckin weird.I glossed over that one since Will Smith is one of the biggest movie stars alive and the third MiB movie made $600M, I didn't even think you were doubting it as a "hot trend". The Jump Street movies are far more tenuous. They make exactly dick overseas
Aside from the fact that the MiB operate outside all legal authority on Earth (even if other planets recognize their legitimacy), this is just REALLY depressing. The big driving force for Mulder is to find out the truth of what happened to his sister (who was abducted by aliens as a kid) and the idea that not only did the MiB not get her back but have failed to recruit the most driven man to find her is really just depressing. Like, they could get her... but they haven't for whatever reason, but have failed to take the memory of her abduction away from him (despite neuralizing him many times) just sounds like they are torturing him for some reason when they could have just zapped his brain and made him forget about it.Ooh, Men in Black crossover with The X Files. An entire division knows aliens are real, but Mulder's in the FBI, not the MiB, so every time he actually finds something, he has to be neuralized. Hilarious!
It would explain so much about his attitude and behavior.Mulder's in the FBI, not the MiB, so every time he actually finds something, he has to be neuralized. Hilarious!
Except Lupin actually respected Zenigata. As much as he fucked with the guy, Lupin never tried to kill Zenigata (and Lupin isn't above killing his opponents), and has repeatedly admitted that if Pops wasn't a cop, he'd be the perfect ally because of his ability to track people down and just general doggedness. Hell, Lupin's helped Zenigata out more than once and so has the reverse. More to the point, INTERPOL seems to think Zenigata is good enough to basically give him free reign to chase Lupin around the globe (even if they've busted him to beat cop a few times). This is probably because no one short of Lupin and his gang have a fuck chance against Zenigata. Literally, the only reason Zenigata is the butt monkey of the show is because he's going up against the only people better than he is.Mulder = Zenigata
Hrm, yeah, I hadn't looked at it that way.Except Lupin actually respected Zenigata. Compare this to Mulder: The ONLY reason he hasn't been killed is because he's been loud enough that killing him would basically confirm the suspicions of anyone who believed him. He's more useful as a laughing stock that no one respects then as a martyr that adds credence to his theories.
I was actually thinking of the "shared universe" concept. Are you referring to 2x Jump Street or films starring women for female audiences? Both are pretty hot trends right now.
I'll bet he doesn't know what a crumpet is.Two minutes for high-sticking my heart, Michael Bay. Don't make me want to see this movie.
Yeah I think it's just his production company again, I only mentioned him as he's the one releasing the set photos.FUCK.
YES.
also reminder for everyone that has a hate boner for Michael Bay - I'm pretty sure he has nothing creatively to do with this movie, just like the last one
They just have to work a little harder at it.Yeah, guys, movies are allowed to suck without Michael Bay.
I just want to say I deeply appreciate the thought you put into this. I know it's depressing--I don't know why I find it funny that they'd be so terrible to him that way.Aside from the fact that the MiB operate outside all legal authority on Earth (even if other planets recognize their legitimacy), this is just REALLY depressing. It would be perfectly in line with the comics at any rate.I just want to say I deeply appreciate the thought you put into this. I know it's depressing--I don't know why I find it funny that they'd be so terrible to him that way.
J: "Hey, should we recruit Spooky this year?"
K: "No."
It won't matter once he's under make-up/prosthetics.Rumor has it the son from We're The Millers will be Pennywise in the new version of IT.
I liked the dude in We're The Millers, but I just think they're going way too young for Pennywise.
I hope what you saw is wrong, because that's what they did for the original made-for-TV movie and it didn't work. While the adult story takes place over a few days, the kids story takes place over a few months and really needs to be told over the course of the adult story to break it up without feeling rushed. In the book, the climax of both stories are told interwoven, which would be easier to do on film than in a book (a la the climax to Oculus) but I wouldn't expect that to happen. Still, it'd be wise for the director to look at the made-for-TV movie and take notes on what not to do.I saw that they're doing a thing where they split the past story (as kids) and the present story (as adults) into different movies and different actors. Maybe Pennywise is going to age up with the kids in this version? And it'll be someone in their 40s-50s? Just spitballing, I don't know much about It
For the most part the article makes sense and the CEO basically looks like a twat, buthttp://thinkprogress.org/culture/20...l-marvel-ceo-listicle-women-cant-superheroes/
A leaked e-mail from a Marvel CEO on why women can't be superheroes. The three movies they use to back up their point?
1) Elektra, an awful spin-off to a movie most people hated.
2) Catwoman, which took such a huge departure from the original source material that it was only Catwoman in name.
3) Supergirl, a 30 year old movie.
But you know, let's just ignore all the successful female-lead movies in recent years. Like Hunger Games.
