Those all still have vocals. I meant, like, instrumental versions. Even I managed to find lots of ones with vocals :p
Eh? most of them were sans vocals I thought. . Well ill just find some for you and send you the links later when im not here in chem lab.

Half had the original artist's vocals, the other half were videos of someone's karaoke performance, where they themselves were singing.

That would be helpful, thanks. I did Irish music for Celt Z, and Hawaiian music for Wasabi, and tongue-in-cheek religious references for Dirona, so I thought I should TRY to get something authentically Chinese on Li Jun's day, but my cultural ignorance hampers me. I've found lots of lists of current popular songs there, but no instrumental versions.

I was about to suggest two songs, one by Richie Ren and one by Jordan Chan, but I realize only @Terrik or @bhamv3 would understand my joke. (One is about not understanding how women think and the other about liking someone who's just not into you.)

At this point I'm open to anything authentic, popular, and instrumental :p

Can't you just center-cancel anything that's out there to remove the lyrics?

--Patrick
It's generally becoming less and less common to do that with all audio in general, in my experience. Even on the tracks it works on, it also usually also eliminates at least 1 other instrument.

Just go with some JoCo for my day and be done with it. He used to do what I do now (more or less).

Yeah, but you didn't roll an author avatar. You minmaxed to try to game the system. Don't think I wasn't hep to your jive! :p I didn't do german music for Rendar either ;)

Eh, we'll see if it fits. Dunno if there are that many JoCo instrumental tracks floating around, either.

I'm guessing instrumental Chinese tracks are proving just as hard to find to Terrik and Keltsy as they were to me. I may have to go a different direction on that.

@Eriol so far, a garbage matte is the only way I've found to reliably edit a section of video where I've pasted somebody's face into it, but then need something (a hand or arm, for example) from the original video to "pass in front of" the face that's pasted over the video. I'm sure there's an easier way to do this in After Effects (which I don't have), but in Premiere, this seems to be it. It's maddening because usually the motion is irregular so I can't use motion tweens to get it done, I have to reposition the matte frame by frame. This is most of what makes those parts take so long to edit. It's enough to drive a sane man crazy. It's enough to make a nice guy kill.

...so what effect does it have on the likes of you? :p

I don't think we're ever going to get it nailed down 100%. We should just go for as close as we can get.
Thing is, I have no way of judging how off I am. A couple people have volunteered, but are busy. The local Latin language prof here has blown me off.

Care to elaborate the intended English meaning?

"I hear they are up to no good."

I've been sticking various permutations into Google Translate to see if I can get something that sounds right .

Hah... Holy shit you guys, I just saw Petra in a restaurant, made flesh and 19 years old. I wish there was a subtle way I could have taken a photograph of her.

"Hey, I know I'm a weird old man that you don't know, but can I take a picture of you? It's nothing creepy, it's just for this porn game that I narrate for a board dedicated to minotaur penis..."

Exactly.

Though, as a chick with ass-length teal hair, she's gotta be used to dealing with wierdoes, right?

Done with video and narration for lunch. I know this is taking longer than normal, but I hope to have it done by Friday, as I'll be out of town this weekend.

Another try at the motto... Ipsi non fácerent boni. Google translates it as "they did not do good," and near as I can tell it's the good as in "good things" not good as in "well."

Every time I try to go for "bad" or "mischief" out pops "malum" or some conjugated form of it (for example Ipsi videtur malos), which seems to always translate back as "evil." And that's a little stronger than the verbiage I'm trying to hit.

Generally speaking, Latin lacks a lot of the subtly that we take for granted in modern English.

nocens and noxius seem to also mean bad with guilty/mischevious/criminal undertones... maybe one of them would fit better.
