[Movies] The Upcoming Movies Trailer Thread

7 movies in 6 years where Farley is the same character (he had bit parts in Wayne's World 1 and 2), also SNL (5 years).

At least 7 movies in 4 years (if you start with Bridesmaids), plus hosting 3 SNL shows.

Obviously in the end this is just my opinion etc etc, but I can't stand her and I hope she just stops making movies for awhile if she can't be bothered to take a role that's not "fat lady that trips and shouts a lot."
Amen.

I can't stand her. McCarthy is a one-trick pony. She's the loudmouthed self-proclaimed fat chick with a foul mouth. That works well exactly twice and then wears very, very thin.

She simply isn't funny and I don't care about her weight. John Candy was overweight but he was a great comedic actor. Farley was very good as well (when script allowed). When people compare her to Farley, it annoys me greatly and my only reply is that Chris had the comedic chops she simply doesn't have.

She even did a Matt Foley impression on SNL, I was BESIDE MYSELF, I watched it.... it was BAAAAD.

Some actors I'll never like... for example Sean Penn. Guy is a huge wife beater and a douchbag primadonna. Fuck him and whatever movie he's in. Especially Mystic River.

We're already drawing comparisons to Dinosaur.

Dinosaur was kind of bland and though the animation was more "realistic", it was honestly forgettable. (-from the person who saw it in the theaters, for whatever reason.) I think this has a bit more cartoonish-feel, so TLBT comes to mind first for me.

The story was kind of average, but the animation was indeed gorgeous and I really remember it more for the almost-won-a-Grammy score.

Apparently this is due out later this year, so two Pixar flicks in the same year? That's impressive.
Yeah, it was delayed last year (when it was scheduled to debut originally) after they made it 2/3 of the way through the film and realized they needed to make some major changes (including replacing the director). Thus, no Pixar film last year and two this year.

Yeah I was just reading that. Hopefully it doesn't suffer for those problems like other movies have.

Pixar and dinosaurs? Yay!
Now,given Pixar's track record, will it have more tears than The Land Before Time?
I'm just glad we're getting a dinosaur movie from an animation studio that isn't all about their extinction (Land Before Time, Dinosaur).

Also, Dinosaur was dull, so any comparisons to that already go in Pixar's favor.

I've noticed those are the ones I end up lukewarm to. They try to fix them, but they can't just scrap what they've been doing and start over, so they try to make a mesh of old stuff plus changes. What you get is weird pacing and a lack of personality to the overall narrative.

Now I'm a little concerned for this, but I'll probably still see it.

Not gonna lie. This looks like a lot of fun.

Though was it just me, or did Pegg's "Oh my god!" near the end (2:16) sound awfully similar to the one shouted in Troll 2?

I can say candlejack all I want because I've only seen the dubbed episode. As long I don't say "El velador" nothing wi

Spy is currently at 94% on Rotten Tomatoes. The very first critic says:

McCarthy is not a one-size-fits-all talent; she needs the right vehicle. Here, Feig has given her precisely the right vehicle, and she shines.

I mean, that's surprising and maybe it'll cause a turnaround in the roles she gets, but for me, I think it's too little, too late. Maybe when I can Redbox the movie for a buck.
