Hell, just the picture of him alone. That has to be one of the douche-iest douche canoes that ever canoed a douche.
I take back my work complaint from earlier this week. Thank God I work at a school where there's common sense behind policy.ZERO TOLERANCE!
You can't have logic or reason in a school.
You know, if he turns out to actually be a terrorist with a real bomb, this will be the greatest plot in history.

these days, welcome to Europe, more of the same with a side-order of Forgetting Our History. -_-Welcome to 'Murica. Racism with a side of anti-intellectualism, seasoned with paranoia.
I'm not sure that they did think it was a bomb.HOW IN THE FUCK TO PEOPLE SEE A CIRCUIT BOARD AND THINK BOMB!?!?!?
Shit, a kid took an actual, functional, contact explosive, bomb to school and they did nothing to him. But that was 20 years ago in an all white school.
Not provable beyond his word (which is BS), but if they actually told him he couldn't call his parents, isn't that illegal? Or does the principal count as a guardian? He shouldn't, but that sounds EXTREMELY sketchy."They told me 'No, you can't call your parents,'" Ahmed said. "'You're in the middle of an interrogation at the moment.' They asked me a couple of times, 'Is it a bomb?' and I answered a couple of times, 'It's a clock.'"
It is a violation of his civil rights to interrogate him without parent/guardian present.
If Ahmed was a football player, he could've blown up a ref with his clock. Instead of jail, he'd be a TV star!I've said it a hundred times... there's no bureaucrat like a Texas bureaucrat. Our cops are the power-trippiest of the nation, by far.

However, this doesn't extend to some official police stuff. The school has to notify the parents if the police are called on their child or if their child has been removed from the premises by the police. In many states the school counts as a guardian during the time the children are there, which is why Child Protective Services can interview children at school without ever contacting or notifying parents.
I'm sure it varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Here's an interesting case that went to the supreme court, though: http://criminal.findlaw.com/juvenile-justice/police-questioning-of-minors.htmlHowever, this doesn't extend to some official police stuff. Remember the Moonanite bomb scare when Cartoon Network did a viral ad campaign for ATHF? Yeah, people are that stupid.HOW IN THE FUCK TO PEOPLE SEE A CIRCUIT BOARD AND THINK BOMB!?!?!?

The Mooninite thing was different. They were suddenly taped up in a bunch of conspicuous location with exposed circuitry and no context. I probably would've thought they were suspicious as well. I was living in Boston when it happened, and it's one of those cases of the media blowing things out of proportion. People weren't running in the streets or anything. There were suddenly a bunch of devices pasted up all over the city, which was freaky.Remember the Moonanite bomb scare when Cartoon Network did a viral ad campaign for ATHF? it's not just this year.Brutally attacking young black girls is a bit of a theme for the police this year.
Cop got fired. Turns out he has a history of violent behavior. So in South Carolina a girl refused to leave her class.
So cops brutally ripped her out of the desk.

No one would give two shits about that principal being attacked if the student was white.
