More news rather than just my thoughts on a recent show, but Nickelodeon has announced they're launching a new channel known as The Splat. It is a channel that will focus on their '90s programming.
This isn't a terrible move. Outside of Spongebob Squarepants, they haven't had a BIG hit outside of Avatar and Legend of Korra. All of their most fondly remembered stuff is from 2000 or earlier... especially their live action stuff like Salute Your Shorts, Clarissa Explains it All, Wild and Crazy Kids, and The Adventures of Pete and Pete.More news rather than just my thoughts on a recent show, but Nickelodeon has announced they're launching a new channel known as The Splat. But Lisa was born in 2007!Those I'm (slightly more) okay when it goes back to the status quo its brought up again. But every time Lisa gains a new friend nowadays, they say she NEVER had friends before, disregarding the episodes where she was seen hanging out with several girls as far back as the damned nineties.
You guys need to get your shit together. Get it all together, and put it in a backpack. All your shit. So it's together. And if you gotta take it somewhere, then take it somewhere, you know? Take it to the shit store and sell it. Or put it in a shit museum, I don't care what you do. You just gotta get it together. Get your shit together.
I wonder if Greg's parents are still around... and what they thought of him marrying an 8 foot tall magic Gem lady?I'm seeing a mom theme these episodes. Wonder where it's leading.
I imagine it was a common law thing... Greg was a lot younger when he first met Rose than he was when Steven was born. If they were living together, romantically, then they were de facto married.Did they every mention if Greg and Rose actually got married?
True, or at least we haven't met their spouse. There might be a Mrs. Fryman or Mrs. Dewey. The only ones I can think of are the Maheshwarans and Vidalia and Yellowtail. On the topic of parents, anyone else notice that almost ALL the parents shown in this series are single? The only exception is Vidalia/Yellowtail, which makes me even MORE suspicious of them. Anyone who sires Onion HAS to have secrets behind them.
Not sure on Fryman, but Dewey is either a widower or divorced considering his affection towards Pearl. I didn't count the Maheshwarans since they don't live in Beach City, and I half think Vidalia/Yellowtail is an anomaly(the other half thinks it works if the theme is not being with the other parent of your first born).True, or at least we haven't met their spouse. I could see that story... Marty shows up after catching a video of Steven at Beach-a-palooza, currently spending his time chasing down internet stars and cashing in on them before they burn out. He shows up, realizes that he's Greg's son and runs into Vidalia and Sourcream. If we're extending troubles to beyond moms, I'm wondering if Marty will be appearing soon.
I know a lot of people on my side of the aisle were deriding the episode for it's portrayal of the SJW crowd. It really has gotten to the point where it's not even possible to laugh at your own without being accused of being against the movement. *shrug* Whatever. The Tumblr kids can pretend to be relevant while they still refuse to actually go out and vote.I watched the PC south park episode. Made me chuckle that PC Principal was Texas A&M. All in all it wasn't an AWFUL episode, but it wasn't great. I've seen worse, I've seen better.
I mean WOW-how did they make Cartman getting the shit beat out of him not funny?
Man, the more I think about last weeks South Park, the less I like it. I really hope tonight's episode is a lot better.
