[TV] The What Animation Are You Watching Thread 2!: The Sequel!

Did you look at them from the actual Imgur page? The images are larger and the differences are more obvious.
I did just now. And I guess the new images look a little clearer and cleaned up? I don't know, maybe I'll see the difference when I can see it in motion.

The Crimson Binome one is also a good example, even at low resolution, due to the curved lines of the cityscape in the background.

Sing Thriller

This is a short based on the Sing movies (computer animated animals in a jukebox musical). If you like those movies, you'll probably like this short. My only complaint is that I want more. It's just the one song. Michael Jackson's Thriller is great, but I would have liked more spooky.

I'm just trying to figure out why Rosita wasn't in it.
Though they did confirm that Mike was not eaten by a bear.

Not sure how well playlist links will work here, but there's a multi-episode documentary series on the making of ReBoot. I'm only two episodes in so far and it's fantastic.

EDIT: Playlist seemed to start on Ep 5. So here's a direct link to Ep 1. I'm sure everyone can find the rest from there.

Just finished it today, that exactly, like hot damn.
The budget for this season is the same as the budget for the new Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson movie, Red One, and boy is it better spent. This was some of the best animation I've ever seen, unafraid to do long, abstract art pieces, and with some of the best character writing I've seen in a long time. My only complaints are that I feel like some of it was a little rushed, but that could just be me wishing we had gotten another season.

Yeah the pacing of it is my only real issue as well, still good though, but its a common affliction for animated made for streaming toon series, where you just wish there was JUST a little more, like Centaurworld.

Creature Commandos (first two episodes)

Ehhhhhhhh. I'll keep watching it in the hopes it gets better, but I'm not really enjoying this.

The voice actor for Amanda Waller at the beginning feels like they REALLY phoned it in. I've never heard such boring exposition.

The needle drops and music choices feel really out of place, which is surprising and disappointing for a James Gunn project.

The action and animation is a lot of fun, I'll admit. The characters are diverse, but I feel like Flagg is getting most of the screentime so far. The gag with the Nazi-killing robot on the team gets old fast.

And then there's the reworked origin for The Bride of Frankenstein. It's disturbing in a really problematic way the more I think about it. I'll talk about it behind the spoiler.

So, part of this Bride's origin is that she and Victor become lovers. The monster winds up killing Victor out of jealousy.

But two things that are really icky about this. One, Victor is essentially her father, so it feels incestual. Two, I don't know how old she's supposed to be, mentally, since he also tutors in in things like how to speak, raising her from basically the mind of a newborn child.

Neither one of those things really sits with me.[/spoiler[

I know, I know, it's just a dumb cartoon and I'm probably overthinking it way too much, but the ramifications of it are just really problematic to me.
