[TV] The What Animation Are You Watching Thread 2!: The Sequel!

Just a heads up: Steven Universe moves to 7:30 EST on the 15th, which will also be the last new episode in October. This is the new time slot for the show.

Read that on the wikia, and am not surprised considering their random slot changes. Also with their sad attempt to trick people into watching Teen Titans Go.

I actually liked this episode, but yes... PC Principle just isn't a very interesting character and I kind of hope he goes away before too long.

You know, most of the Episode was pretty funny. The speech by "Reality" was so blatantly preachy that it kinda ruined everything else.

Also I've said it before but it bares repeating, they are not good at back to back episodic story arcs. They can do a proper multi-parter like nobody's business, but over-arcing plots aren't really in their wheelhouse.

In better news, Star Wars Rebels is still awesome.

Friggin' loved how the Clone Troopers pointed out the structural flaw of the At-At's legs, hilarious.

Over the Garden Wall is going to be airing every day next week, starting at 8:30PM EST on Monday and finishing up at 8:30PM EST on Friday. Check it out if you haven't already.

Checked out some more Stay Cool, Scooby-Doo. I still like this serious less than Mystery Inc. but it's got enough charm that I think I'm sticking around.

This series gets a damn A from me, especially since the latest Robot episode made a direct reference to Charlie from the original series, a.k.a. the most ridiculous episode ever. "I don't think my brother should use robot labor at his own damn amusement park, so I'll sabotage it making it go crazy! That's what adults do right?"

I just can't get into this. I think it's because it looks like it's animated by the team who did Brickleberry, and bleah, that show.

It's written SO well though and it has the modern voice incarnations from Mystery Inc. It's actually really good, once you get past the shitty art.

PC Principal is the worst character South Park ever had. He BETTER die, I can't fucking stand him.
That's kind of the point of him.

The part where he said "Oh congratulations you raised $300 for charity by spending half a million dollars on filet mignon and crystal glasses" made me laugh heartily.

I remember thinking that there was too much anime troping going on in the old series, and the main reason I deliberately switch channels whenever I happen to catch the new one is because it's like someone heard me say that, but accidentally thought that because it was the only part I talked about, that it must be the only part of the show that I liked.

Out of curiosity I saw the whole ep in question and it was...noticably better than the stock of eps ALMOST okay even. Even so, I was kinda hoping they'd turn into an Adventure Time or Regular Show rip-off not...some weird British show. By Trigon's horns this show has set the bar SO low I'm giving praise to something that did the bare minimum!

Teen Titans GO is real hit and miss as a series. It's at it's best when it's making fun of the old show, but at it's worst when resorting to gross out stuff. Also, this joke was done better 20 some years ago when it was called "The Justice Friends" and was a short during Dexter's Lab.

Or Bravest Warriors, probably the only series to do the premise WHILE having them do legit dramatic super hero stuff.
