Whats for Dinner?

I should not have gone through this album prior to eating lunch.

I'm not having this for dinner tonight. But I will someday take it as inspiration.

Ugh, never deglaze in a seasoned cast iron skillet, it will screw up your seasoning.
Depends on what you season it with. If you're seasoning with linseed/flax oil (which you really should unless you have access to perilla oil), (ethyl) alcohol will barely affect your seasoning at all, even when heated to boiling.

I entered the store looking to buy halloween candy and some soda.

I exited with halloween candy, soda, and a fliet mignon.

I regret nothing.

Pork and butternut squash stew, with homemade buttermilk biscuits. It was excellent... and maybe a bit too filling.

Nothing. Scrounging in the kitchen now. Probably have Ramen or cereal for dinner. It's been one of those kinds of days. Glad I get paid on Monday!

KFC.
Everyone else at home is having "Spanish Chicken," whatever that is (not paella, though). Since I'm going to be on the road for 6hrs, I'm gonna miss it.

Is there a way to get that code provided to you, or do you just have to remember to change open to uc every time?

Chicken corba, garlic mash, ceasar salad.

It's like when asked what kind of food they wanted tonight, they just chose like Earth food.

My family had parsnips for the first time only a couple of months ago--oven roasted, but I be they taste similar to pan grilled. They were freaking delicious.
I make a bread pudding with oven-roasted parsnips and leeks instead of stuffing every Thanksgiving and Christmas. People go so nuts over it I have to hide a square if I want leftovers the next day.

Curried lentils with some lovely and aromatic basmati rice. I also treated myself to some dark chocolate covered almonds with sea salt last time I was at the grocery store. Mah favorite.
