Took a short trip up to New York today the World's fair park, it was SO cool seeing the UFO from Men in Black in real life(even though realistically, the MIB are kinda bad guys). And you will NEVER guess what I saw in the park-
-a fucking mister softy! IN FEBRUARY! And I thought Liquor stores not selling beer in the city was weird.

What's using all my HDD space?

Sheesh.
Hah! Actually had this today at work.
What's using all your space? Hmm, lessee...
Looks like it's damaged files in a hidden folder in your root directory. Why hidden? Maybe it didn't want to bother you with damaged files. Let's delete them (reclaim 30GB).

In both Flushing Meadows (where you were) and Juniper Park (in Middle Village), I don't think the Mr. Softees ever leave. I've seen them in all kinds of weather.

I was on last night. I just got home now and I am trying to decide if I have the energy to play Diablo or not...I guess if I have to ask myself that right?
Started my day at 7:30a and was required to keep doing things for other people until after 10p with the knowledge I was going to have to get back up at 7 the next morning.
I did not play.

Since I am a god damned masochist, here's what my son is registered for next year. I predict all of my after school time will be spent on homework. Though really, now is the time to start looking into maybe getting a person for 1 on 1 help on a paid basis...

Dang, wish my high school had had programming classes. Well, the first one I went to in ABQ for only my freshman year did (and I took it!), but the one in COS sure didn't.

Our school district is also starting a new thing (One of only two in the state) in which you can graduate with an associate's degree. This is my goal for my son, because then he can pursue a bachelor's on a part time basis without it taking forever.

I like that idea, but I can see it being incredibly stressful for the student and family.
Anything academia related will be incredibly stressful in this case, and since he 100% has the BRAINS for it, we might as well get something out of the stress. It's not like I'm going to expect him to have a part time job and he has almost no interest in anything that involves other people. ;)

Isn't this a (fairly) common tactic for hiding porn? Give a video or image file an unrelated extension, like change .mp4 to .doc, and it'll show up as a corrupted file, so no one knows what's in it. When you want to access the file, change the extension back.

I wanna say getting the high score at my pizza shops' Donkey Kong was a big deal...but I couldn't get past the second level so...yeah. Second level by arcade standards I mean of course, where you do the first and last levels, then first, second, then last, and then first, second, third, and last.

No, I meant files that were actually damaged, as in overlapped or otherwise inaccessible due to directory issues.

Oh.

That's less fun.
Before I worked in computers, I worked > 3yrs developing film for Kodak. The shop where I worked would process 18,000-25,000 rolls of 35mm film per night, or even more after special events or summertime vacations.
I've seen plenty of fun. And more. I have never had anything on a person's computer outdo what I saw there. Not even once.

Just because random dude on tumblr says something doesn't make it gospel truth. And when someone flat out says they "can't find the link," but relates a tale anyway, the whole thing is probably bullshit.

Don't just blindly hit reblog.

But I know what's going on, Stuart! It's the queers! They're in it with the aliens! They're building landing strips in Des Moines for gay Martians! I SWEAR TO GOD!
