I could see a good writer/director/art team make something out of it in the Wreck-it Ralph/Monsters Inc/Inside Out.
I do, too. I don't expect it, though.i hope that movie's really good
Everyone talked shit about PotC because it was a pirate movie. The genre was thought dead after Cutthroat Island BOMBED.everyone talked shit about Pirates of the Caribbean because it was based on a ride
To be fair, that one had all sorts of issues like losing the original footage and other weirdly conspicuous things. You guys remember Food Fight?
Actually, no.You guys remember Food Fight?
Since I don't acknowledge the existence of Adam Sandler movies I assume you're talking about this.Because Pixelsmanaged to make money so this seemed like the logical next step.
Actually, no.
For your abbreviated viewing pleasure:Haven't seen it yet.

Wait, what? When did people talk shit about Pirates of the Carribean? The movie rocked, it made tons of money, and was praised quite a bit. It wasn't until the sequels that people turned on it.Everyone talked shit about PotC because it was a pirate movie. The genre was thought dead after Cutthroat Island BOMBED.
Actually, gotta be honest here, I do remember, before PotC came out, that many people around here, possibly myself included, were incredulous that a movie was being made from a theme park ride. But yes, it all evaporated upon first viewing.Wait, what? When did people talk shit about Pirates of the Carribean? The movie rocked, it made tons of money, and was praised quite a bit. No, the internet and critical build up to the premier was pretty negative. Because it had a flimsy premise, based on an amusement park ride.Wait, what? I vaguely remember feeling the same way. I remember feeling a similar uncertainty with THE LEGO MOVIE, but that proved me wrong.Actually, gotta be honest here, I do remember, before PotC came out, that many people around here, possibly myself included, were incredulous that a movie was being made from a theme park ride. Yeah, I realized after posting that that you guys were talking about the pre-release reactions. Sorry. No, the internet and critical build up to the premier was pretty negative. Because it had a flimsy premise, based on an amusement park ride.
Remember they did Country Bears at the same time, and proved the critics and internet right.
Well, I TRIED to. Thanks a lot, pal.Don't forget Haunted Mansion...
Except Country Bears is actually an alright movie. It's basically Blues Brothers for furries. It doesn't deviate from the formula too much and it certainly doesn't do it as well, but they made something perfectly watchable and considering what they had to work with, it's amazing it turned out even that good. No, the internet and critical build up to the premier was pretty negative. Yeah, that's a good point.Don't forget Haunted Mansion. For every PotC and Clue there are plenty of stinkers like Haunted Mansion and Battleship.
It wouldn't have the same chemistry, and it'd be FUBAR.I'd really like to see someone do a Tango & Cash sequel.
Given how messed up the production of the first one was (it went through like 4 directors), I think it could be done.It wouldn't have the same chemistry, and it'd be FUBAR.
Big time.
