What, no Pokemon Go thread?

Don't worry, next week I will be in middle of nowhere Texas, visiting my husband's grandparents in an old person trailer park, so I'm sure I will also be suffering.
Dammit, lady, that is like posting pictures of water while I'm stuck in the desert!
One of our favorite restaurants is having a "Dinner with Pikachu" event with Pokemon-related stuff and lures all night. I can't wait.

The site can't scan for Pokemon that are attracted by lures or incense.
And I'm still convinced that if the app sees few to no pokemon nearby it creates some just for those users in areas where the main website isn't generating any.

It might, but you might need to be walking for the odds of that happening to noticeably increase. I suspect there is a constant "incense" that players always have but ratcheted way down. Walking may up it and then adding the actual incense may up it even more. Being near a lured pokestop may do so too.
There may be something to that. You definitely need to move in this game. I can sit for an hour playing on the computer with my phone in the cradle, no pokemon appear. As soon as I get up and take the phone with me into the bathroom 15 feet away, I always get pidgeys and rattatas show up.
And it's pretty clear that largely populated areas with a high number of players tends to be densely populated with a large variety of pokemon.
So did you pick personal safety, or Pokemon?
I'm sitting here in the library, two pokestops and a gym available without moving. Don't have any lures, though, so I'm not catching anything, but I get 100 xp every 5 minutes from the pokestops, and if I had time I'd figure out how to use the gym effectively.

Level 8 apparently comes with a lure, but I'll save it for later. Luckily someone else dropped a lure on one of the two pokestops, so I'll be going a bit faster while it's active. Only 7,760 xp to go until level 9, certainly won't make it tonight, but I'll get my fill of rattatas and pidgies.
Both, kinda. I popped an egg and evolved a crap ton. Crazy this doesn't get me a full level anymore though!

Went into Frederick to play music tonight. It's a substantially bigger town than the .93sq mile town I live in.
