From the patch notes:

"Fixed a bug that kept grouped players from being able to rejoin a match when disconnected"

Well, let's hope so this time, because -

"Players who leave a competitive match before its conclusion will now have to wait for at least 10 minutes before joining another competitive match"

At least it sorta kinda punishes that jerkasses that leave right before a loss

IMO, leaving a competitive match should start a vote among remaining teammates at the conclusion of the match as to whether a player should be punished or not (assuming he doesn't return), and the punishment should be much worse. Maybe not a full ban from competitive for the season, but at least 24 hours, maybe a week.

10min seems like just the right amount of time, too.
To normal people, it's the length of an extended commercial.
To your typical Overwatch player, it's like, a match and a half's worth of time spent frothing at their screen.

Nah, 10 mins is nothing, it means he has to go back to QP for a single match.

10min may be too short, but letting other players decide over a day/week long ban is just griefing material. Lost connection while in a PUG? Tough luck, enjoy the temp ban!

People shouldn't be pugging competitive imo.

I'm of the opinion that any disconnect you do not return from in competitive should be harshly penalized. I only added in the vote to give your fellow players a chance to spare you.

I'm so happy this released right as I'm going out of town for a week. [emoji52]

BUT I already got the Tracer one. I want the Zarya ones.

I mean, Terrik and I were playing with PuGs last night and this morning and I am no longer stuck in the 30s.
That's still at least a little backup. I had a toxic koth symmetra today. Same guy on my team 3 games on a row. He reported me for harassment because I asked him to change heroes.

I was able to at least do a handful of loot boxes but things still feel a little wonky.

I got what I wanted, though, which is 76's Golf Swing and one of Zarya's weightlifter skins.

Funny. I got the same. Golf pose and red weightlifter skin. I really want the tracer skin.
I got the white suit, but I like both so it works out. I also got Torb's and Mei's medal poses, along with the usual sprays and junk.

I wonder if you'll be able to spend coins on the seasonal stuff when the event is over.

Only thing that sucks about Lucio Ball is that because it's only six people, when someone rages out like a pissbaby, the game is over for everyone if there isn't immediately someone to take their place.

I don't know if it's still an effect of the attacks last night, but tonight was near-unplayable thanks to server lag. It was like Winston was caught on a rubber band. I kept getting snapped back, sometimes through walls.

A good chunk of WoW's servers were down for about an hour-ish, too. They didn't confirm DDoS again, but it sure seemed the same as yesterday. Some guildies are still having lag and d/c issues.
