I picked the wrong election cycle to stop sniffing glue.Shaping our children?
I can make a hat! I can make a brooch! I can make a pterodactyl!
You're in Texas. How else are you supposed to be able to participate in local elections if you aren't actively destroying your neurons by huffing noxious fumes?I picked the wrong election cycle to stop sniffing glue.
That's been a lot of these people. If this is true it was someone with a lot of money teaching a moron how to set off a bomb. They found him initially in the vestibule of a bar within walking distance of his house (or apartment?). So he's not exactly a criminal mastermind. So some foreign terrorist organization finds an absolute idiot and says, "Do this. It'll be fine."
... yes it is?The news isn't reporting that the person who called the police and told them where to find the bomber was in fact a Sikh immigrant.
Philadelphia area news mostly.... yes it is?
I've been seeing that everywhere. What news outlets are you following?
Hmmm. I don't remember which outlet I saw it on, but I have a selection of national media sources. At least two of them focused on the fact that the man who reported him was Sikh.Philadelphia area news mostly.
Should it have been widely reported if it was a Hindu immigrant? How about Daoist? Or are you just wanting to bring attention to the immigrant part, since there's a lot of anti-immigration ideas going on right now?The news isn't reporting that the person who called the police and told them where to find the bomber was in fact a Sikh immigrant.
Mostly the immigrant part, particularly since the bloated orange peel is blaming refugees for a bombing committed by an American citizen.Should it have been widely reported if it was a Hindu immigrant? Pedanticbeard wants to point out that one can be both an immgrant to the US and a citizen of the US. Indeed, the bomber is one such example.[DOUBLEPOST=1474493647,1474493423][/DOUBLEPOST]Mostly the immigrant part, particularly since the bloated orange peel is blaming refugees for a bombing committed by an American citizen.
. . . And I just realized the funny bit, here. As in "I feel the need to laugh at this ignorance or my soul will be crushed by the realization that people are stupid"That is what quite a few of the folks on Kati's Facebook feed have been focusing on.
"Look! One Muslim narc'd on another Muslim!"
Ugh.

I wouldn't put it past him.Considering Trump has spoken out against birthright citizenship, I wonder if trying to curtail the rights of existing naturalized citizens could make it onto his agenda as well.
We are not even going to get into a discussion about the pot taxes. Making money hand over fist doesn't mean shit when a big chunk of it got refunded to the populace due to terrible budgeting. (See TABOR) I am really bitter about pot taxes for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is the terrible education funding in this state.Seems like a lot of power concentrated into one entity with no real plan, other than to set up a single payer system and hope the board is somehow able to create regulations that save money while providing adequate care.
On the other hand they are making money hand over fist with drug taxes, so perhaps they can afford it without bankrupting the middle class.
Didn't he sell the whole thing? He doesn't profit off it anymore if he sold all the rights and such.Time to reconsider buying that VR device: Oculus Rift founder Palmer Luckey has been funding Trump's Alt-Right meme machine.
True. Still, in a market so saturated with options, there really isn't a reason to get one when I have other options.Didn't he sell the whole thing? He doesn't profit off it anymore if he sold all the rights and such.
And the Vive is better, anyway.Didn't he sell the whole thing? He doesn't profit off it anymore if he sold all the rights and such.
Don't need to tell me; I think that about VR in general .True. Still, in a market so saturated with options, there really isn't a reason to get one when I have other options.
not just beiing a neo nazi, but using your wealth, power, and influence to strengthen and spread neo nazi shitThe_Donald is one of the most racist, homophobic, and transphobic subreddits there is (and thats saying something). He deserves every amount of shaming he gets for this. Theres having political beliefs, and theres being a neo-nazi.
Political divisiveness making its way into non political arenas. People using whatever wedges they can to force others to adopt their beliefs or hurt them.
It's sad.
No different from eating/not eating Chick-fil-A, or using Israeli products, or half a dozen other boycotts.Political divisiveness making its way into non political arenas. People using whatever wedges they can to force others to adopt their beliefs or hurt them.

It's the end result of capitalism in this country: when money and it's uses are considered a form of free speech, the ultimate (legal) expression of displeasure can only ever be denying your business/patronage to businesses that back causes you don't believe in. And... there is nothing wrong with this, morally or otherwise. People and companies have the right to spend their money on what they want and to work with who they want. To suggest otherwise is to imply that people have a moral obligation to ignore the harm their money/labors may do if doing so may affect the prosperity of others. There is no such obligation in capitalism. In fact, it would be anathema to all it stands for; it's up to the market to decide if political beliefs are relevant market forces and apparently they are.Political divisiveness making its way into non political arenas. Businesses have the right to choose who they work with. If they believe that protecting their beliefs is more important than full market penetration, that is their right... and really, it's no different than a third party dev deciding not to make a game for a console for any other reason.Eh, not eating Chick-fil-A is a choice of the consumer, though.
I agree it's their right, I'm not saying they should be forced to, I'm just saying it's dumb. It's a knee jerk reaction that in the end changes nothing, and hurts only the audience that might want to play their games. The console comparison didn't quite fit because it's a peripheral, it's like saying I want to make sure my stuff doesn't work on Dell monitors. It's the end result of capitalism in this country: when money and it's uses are considered a form of free speech, the ultimate (legal) expression of displeasure can only ever be denying your business/patronage to businesses that back causes you don't believe in. All arenas are political because political beliefs are forged through everyday actions and interactions. And to be frank, this sort of thing is still way better union riots, abortion center bombings, or armed uprisings.

Not a lot of people calling for the head of Miyamoto though, I'll admit...
Some of them are small guys. Some of them, like Insomniac, are large veterans of the industry.Though, I haven't looked to see which devs are doing this, maybe they all suck anyway so who cares.
