[Gaming] Overwatch (#boycottblizz)

Oh yeah, I mentally blocked that. Because what Junkrat needed was a buff, because we aren't already constantly hearing "FIRE IN THE HOLE" with astonishing regularity in every single match.
Yet most of the time, as long as we're paying attention, it dies or only kills one person.

You are Roadhog now. It is now your responsibility, like all Roadhogs before you, to hook and shotgun that tire in its nondescript face. Failing that, catch it with your gut. Whatever works.
I'm getting better at alt-firing it from a distance, but it still occurs distressingly often. Like, more often than Ryugawagateki-gofuckyourself even, now.[DOUBLEPOST=1475713091,1475712946][/DOUBLEPOST]

That's true of most alts, though. People are even getting better about dodging aforementioned dragons, now. Heck, half the time I can hook reaper before his third "DIE!"

If Junkrat traumatizes you that much, maybe you should play Zarya instead of Roadhog. [emoji14]

Junkrat is one of my mains and his ultimate DOES NOT need to load faster. I kill so many other characters, I pop that thing several times most matches. It doesn't need a buff. And people are whining "how do I counter Genji with Junkrat?" Really?! I love facing Genji with Junkrat, he's so easy to kill. What the hell is going on with this community that they're crying that Junkrat is UP? Sheesh.

Console player saying someone that doesn't need to aim is OP >.>

Honestly I can't remember the last time Junkrat was a legitimate problem, except when Terrik is an idiot.

To be clear, "load faster" isn't the same as "charge faster". The buff is basically that he pulls the cord and gains control of the tire quicker. Most heroes that have a ult of his strength are supposed to have one main weakness (Like Pharah being unable to move), but his had two, making him vulnerable when caught during the pull animation, and also allowing his ult to be completely nullifed by damage. They decided to lessen that vulnerability period rather then make the tire more durable. His ult itself won't charge any faster.

Oh, I misunderstood. That's totally fine.

I, too, misunderstood what that meant. The activation animation going faster is alright, not sure why it's really needed since Junkrat is supposed to use his ult from cover, but alright.

Whatever helps you sleep at night.

The thing was, he HAD to use it from cover due to its slower activation time.
Now he can also use it as an AOE suicide pull, sort of like D.Va used to. It's certainly in keeping with the character.

... But he already has an AOE when he dies, every single time.

Nah, that's confined to his death location. His on-death grenades are no more AOE than his regular lobbed grenades. The adjustments give him the ability to perform a sort of "suicide vest" attack. It will reinforce the "sane people don't stand too close to Junkrat" feeling amongst the other heroes.

I was thinking earlier that it would be hilarious if you all (Gas, Dei, Terrik, etc) got stuck with a rando called "PrezGJohnson420" for match after match, and they picked Mei.
Every.
Single.
Time.

Apparently this cold medicine is stronger than I thought.

Perspective of some players seems to be "It's not that I suck with that character, it's that that character sucks."
In my experience it goes more like "I've noticed that when I lose when I often have that character on my team, so that character must be the problem."

This is especially the case with bastion - if someone on your team is bastion on offense, you have to change the dynamic of your entire team to revolve around him. IE, Reinhardt has to shield him, mercy has to boost/heal him, everybody else has to help get him into position and stop him from being flanked, and then he can lock down wherever he is. But a lot of people, myself included, aren't willing to cater to the gaming preferences of somebody who, without prior discussion, decides to make a match all about himself. So we don't go all-in on the bastion offense strat and bastion ends up useless and the game is a de facto 6 on 5, so we lose.

Also, the problem with a lot of offense Hanzos/Widowmakers is that often the players playing them aren't good enough to pull it off :D

But for the most part, I think, there are a lot of people who are completely immersed in the meta of the moment, so, say for example, they expect and completely rely on your team having a reinhardt - if you don't have a reinhardt, you don't have any tanks, as far as they are concerned - so they go looking for the character they consider to be most outside their minds ideal group comp - which is usually a defense character - and tell them to switch to reinhardt.

That's true. And I've noticed with myself, there's a difference in matches where I feel like playing a different character and I know I'm not contributing as much as I could, and then times where I just want to win (or I get pissed off), so I play my #1 main D.Va. But I figure unless it's competitive, it shouldn't matter too much.

In cases like that, I say "be the change you wish to see in the world." If someone's crying about needing a healer, they should switch to a healer. If someone wants a Reinhardt so bad, they should switch to Reinhardt themselves.
