[Gaming] Overwatch (#boycottblizz)

I'm now level 106. I have two victory poses and BOY DO I LOVE SPRAYS! Well, still plenty of time to get real goodies.

I think the brawl will get easier as more people learn it. First two tries went terribly because no one on my team went after Junkenstein. Third try, I grabbed McCree before anyone else, and when Junkenstein appeared I got in close and destroyed him. Made going forward a lot easier when you actually beat the boss. Why knew?

I've played the brawl twice now. Both times as McCree...because nobody else wanted to pick him?
Whatever, High Noon is amazing, killed 10 enemies at once, still didn't get PotG.
...So @Dei's theory is now busted.
Still trying to last the entire brawl without dying once (so far only once).

The big thing about the brawl is you have to coordinate.

Soldier - Your main focus is popping regular Zomnics, moving around the map and dropping biotic field whenever someone gets hurt. Save ultimate for Shock-Tires. Use missiles liberally to clear Zomnic groups, but try to time it so you have one for Shock-Tires (just in case you don't have ult up). Your main focus will always be the Zomnics getting close to the door, but don't hesitate to use some rockets on a boss or two.

McCree - Hug the left stairs, can hold the lane by yourself for massive ultimate charge. Save ultimate for boss fights, preferably when Ana has her ultimate ready. A boosted deadeye can one shot any of the bosses very quickly, with only the Monster taking some time due to his huge health pool. If you don't kill a boss in a single Deadeye then leave the stairs for a flashbang, FTH, flashbang combo to finish them off.

Hanzo - Stay near the door and help mostly with Zomnics. Focus on the ones that launch bombs so the other heros can focus on the swamers. Use ultimate for lane clears during most of the boss fights and stay away from the bosses themselves, but don't hesitate to save one ult just before Junkenstien comes out, as you can climb up to his perch and launch an ult that Junkenstien won't be able to avoid. Use scatter arrow liberally in doorways or at the feet of bosses if you have an opening.

Ana - Keep an eye on health and focus your main attacks for healing (but help DPS if everyone is topped off), use grenades to kill Zomnics. Make sure to also use the grenade on the Monster, since he will often attempt to heal himself. When a boss spawns, use sleep dart to knock them out, allowing you to clear the boss wave or setup the McCree/Ana ult combo. The most important to sleep is the Mercy on the last push, as she makes the Monster incredibly deadly.

Deadeye won't target the bosses. I thought I'd have an advantage there and easily destroy them. The ring appears around the boss, but never zeroes in to give you a red dot. I tried it on Reaper, Roadhog, and Mercy, the ring never shrank even a little, the red dot never appeared. I guess they knew people would try to make it easy like that.

Um, it absolutely does, unless console is doing weird shit. It won't outright kill, but it does a lot of damage.

Like @Dei says, it absolutely does. The thing is, the bosses have such a large health pool that the ult will expire before it charges enough damage to actually kill them (at full health). So it shrinks, it just shrinks soooo sloooowly.[DOUBLEPOST=1476367438,1476367352][/DOUBLEPOST]
And she will apparently be played by Elizabeth Banks in the live-action movie.

It does, but like said, due to the high health pools, it goes very slowly. This is why you need to combo it with Ana's ult boost, as the extra damage it gives makes the ultimate a one shot kill on all bosses other then the Monster.

Maybe if you only play on Easy. ;)

And for those of you looking to maximize your number of loot box drops during the event, last night we crunched the numbers and found that playing in competitive will get you experience levels as fast or faster than winning the brawl on medium or losing it on hard to Junkenstein's Monster. (Approximately 265 exp per minute, less for winning on medium)... and if you WIN on competitive, it goes up to about 385 exp per minute.

And that was counting queue times of ~10 seconds on the brawl and ~1 min on competitive.

These secrets, tips, tactics, and goofball hilarity can be yours if you watch my twitch stream! Also you get to see all the times I type out a scathing diatribe condemning the uselessness of any randos on our team, and then delete it after taking a moment to cool off.

If only we had applied all this brainpower to achieving world peace.

That mercy skin is the next best thing though,

And Medium, which is what my friends and I were playing last night and pulling off the combo wins.

Hard I have never had anyone successfully pull off the boosted deadeye combo to know though, since my friends won't play it, but even so you will still knock off the vast majority of their health with the combo I am sure. Otherwise they will have so much health they the mode might be near impossible.

I cannot get a decent Halloween loot box to save my life. Blues and grays, blues and grays. The game thinks my favorite is sprays. Really wishing I hadn't blown 1000 on a Pharah outfit just before this began. I didn't know we'd be able to purchase event skins this time.

It is clearly time for me to swap off healing again. Had 13k healing and a bunch of offensive assists from dmg beam. Only got 14 rank for the win. /wrist

Lost a match right after. Lost 29 rank.

Guys I got so many skins

Mercy, 76, Junkrat, Pharah, and a bunch of the RIP things. I almost feel bad for not playing as often as I used to.

Also I wish this brawl would stick around forever.

I hit 3000 currency so I can just *buy* the Mercy skin, but I also just rolled over 200 so I'll probably hold it since I'm going to get loot boxes rained on me for a little bit.

It's after midnight, and the random 14 year old girls are flirting with us in team chat

Apparently I am a "daddy," whatever that means, and I probably don't wanna know.
