Looks like they probably changed the lighting/shaders used on the portraits, because just about everyone looks a bit paler. The 'bots are all shinier, too.

Anyway, here's a checklist for your halloween loot chasing:
Off of the 20 boxes I bought I got all but Roadhog, Rein, Ana and Hanzo's skins. Got Genji's highlight, will probably cash in coins for Mei's because it's fucking adorable. No emotes that I can remember getting. Everything else was voices and sprays, maybe like 5 of the RIPs.
I'm probably going to get desperate and buy some boxes myself if I don't get any of my must-haves by near the end of this thing. And even then I still might not get them.

If I'd used racial or homophobic slurs maybe, but for just profanity I doubt they'll do anything when there's filters/blocking/muting.

Afternoons seem to be a good time to play. Guess all the pros are either at school or out there closing high-powered business deals.

I don't think that many pros are playing in silver rank.
Yes, I've noticed that many of the teams I am matched up with are 4-6 silvers instead of the 5 golds I would get with you guys.I don't think that many pros are playing in silver rank.
My win percentage is much higher when I'm not the lowest-rank person on the field, let me tell you.

So despite spending her own money accidentally on loot boxes, my wife now feels guilty for getting things I want since my standard is to get garbage loot boxes and wants to buy me a $20 pack, because she says she can't play now without feeling guilty that I don't have the skins I want.
I want certain skins, yeah, but it's cosmetic shit in a video game. It's not that deep.

Reaper, Junkrat, Mei, Bastion, D.Va - those are the munchkin heroes. I think you guys conflate me griping about people who play "low skill floor" characters and people who play characters of limited usefulness (Torbjorn, Genji, Symmetra) or being bad at who they're playing (or playing a class who isn't suited for the situation - IE attack snipers) with the easymoders.
A good McCree is impressive, as is a good soldier. A good Tracer has no counter - but you have to be good, even if that skill is caffeine-induced. Pharah definitely takes skill. Hooking with Roadhog is harder than it looks. Anyone who does well as Hanzo, Widowmaker, or Symmetra is extra impressive. A good Zarya can carry her team, Winston can really wreck if the player knows what he's doing, and a good Reinhardt is something everybody wants. I don't even need to bring up supports.
So fuuuuuuuuuuuccckk yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew.

Zarya is the only tank with a distance attack. That I don't see her more often is always surprising to me.

A slow moving, gravity-affected distance attack. Takes skill to use correctly. Munchkins hate things that take skill. They'd rather have 500 points of armor and constantly chattering guns that give them elimination credit from doing 2 damage from a city block away.
Zarya is actually the most popular tank, especially at higher ranks.
Yes, exactly.
...which means that, at my level, I'm much more likely to see D.Va get PotG than any other character.
Also last night I proved to myself that you can't cancel a D.Va ult by destroying it. I actually unloaded a full rocket barrage onto one while it was prepping, and it didn't stop.

You can knock it out of LoS or off a cliff though.
