Oh c'mon, there's no need for that... y'all still got a lot of orphans to go through before you force the poor to eat their own kids.I don't see what everyone's problem is. So what if the weakest amongst us get hurt the worst. They could always just eat their own babies. Seems like a workaround for the whole abortion thing too.
When i 1stheard about voter ID in the US i was all like "wait, they don't have to show their ID when voting?"As I said, I just copypasted that list out of wikipedia under its list of "countries that require photo ID to vote." I don't know the nuances from country to country.
It's more a problem because of the internet than lack of mandatory photo ID.When i 1stheard about voter ID in the US i was all like "wait, they don't have to show their ID when voting?"
Then i found out y'all don't just have to get a photo ID card at 14 like everyone here... no wonder ID fraud is such a problem in the US.
We don't have mandatory ID in Canada either, but most people at least get a learner's permit at 14 because, well, the country is fucking gigantic and people drive a lot. When i 1stheard about voter ID in the US i was all like "wait, they don't have to show their ID when voting?"

And our list of acceptable ID is expansive and our polling stations are small. We don't have mandatory ID in Canada either, but most people at least get a learner's permit at 14 because, well, the country is fucking gigantic and people drive a lot.
Well, up until the last election, a letter that was addressed to you was enough. And our list of acceptable ID is expansive and our polling stations are small.
Now you require two letters.Well, up until the last election, a letter that was addressed to you was enough.
Given that if only white people voted, Bernie would've won by a lot, my guess is that voter ID laws would help him. However, I still don't think it would've been enough to make him win.Is there an analysis anywhere of how voter ID laws may have affected Bernie v Hillary? I have my guess, but there's no foundation for my guess so it's pointless.
There's no "regretful agree" nor "sigh:brofist," so you get a "hugs."Arguing voter ID laws is a bit pointless when half of the eligible voters just didn't bother, ID or no ID.
Yeah, see, here's the thing... they'll talk about it, but they'll never actually do it, because they know how much they'd lose if they take ANYTHING away from the group that gives them so many of their votes.Paul Ryan says he wants to make medicare privatized. If someone could make a porn site of old republican voters realizing that their health insurance is gone, I'd rub my dick raw.
And yet Hildog lost because almost 5% voted 3rd party.Arguing voter ID laws is a bit pointless when half of the eligible voters just didn't bother, ID or no ID.
Thats probably true and logically a good thing.Yeah, see, here's the thing... they'll talk about it, but they'll never actually do it, because they know how much they'd lose if they take ANYTHING away from the group that gives them so many of their votes.
And close by. Obviously a little farther apart in the country, and it obviously gets a little more crowded in the city, but it has never taken me more than 10 minutes to get to a polling station, and I've never waited more than 10 once I got there. (I don't think 'Ive ever waited on more than a couple people, so I've probably never waited more than a couple minutes)[DOUBLEPOST=1478884810,1478884341][/DOUBLEPOST]And our list of acceptable ID is expansive and our polling stations are small.
Isn't there already fencing? Or does it not stretch across the whole border? On a semi-related note, does anybody also remember how we've done this wall song-and-dance before, it was approved, the money was allocated, and then it just didn't happen?
I need to get with HR and move mine to some low risk stuff pretty soon.Too bad that's where people's 401k's are.
Not across the whole border, and most of what IS there is, like, shitty corrugated metal that wouldn't keep a determined COW out of the country, much less a human being with tools. Vast stretches of it are either just open, or look like this:And close by. Except that it promotes hypocrisy amongst elected officials. And keeps those old people voting for others to get screwed in ways they would never accept for themselves. It's a clear violation of the Golden Rule.and logically a good thing.
The big issue isn't people running across the border in onesies/twosies. Its the ones driving large trucks. Sometimes those trucks are full of people. Sometimes those trucks are full of cocaine. We're awfully nervous that one of these days, one of those trucks will be full of jihadists with a dirty bomb. What i don't get is how would a wall even keep people out, we've invented ladders before agriculture. Even Vandal Savage knows about them by now.
Sure, it could work with manned guard towers at certain intervals, but if you can afford the man power... well, then you don't really need a wall any more (maybe in some place with certain geographic features), do you?
I thought we did that in order to protect our drivers. But instead of a wall, y'all oughtta build a moat like the one we dug to separate us from Buffalo.
Sweet! Our propaganda worked.I thought we did that in order to protect our drivers.
Your propaganda of sending terrible drivers into the US with Ontario plates?Sweet! Our propaganda worked.
. . . oh, I wasn't supposed to talk about this
That's not the propaganda. That's the ongoing deception to reinforce the lie that "no, the Niagara River isn't a moat, what are you talking about?" while we dig out the trench along the 49th - but I've said too much.Your propaganda of sending terrible drivers into the US with Ontario plates?
It's like...at what point does that stop being propaganda and start just being a fact?
The NHL in southern Ontario? Now I know you're lying.Oh shit, I hear the NHL at the door.
Nah, don't do that, you definitely don't want your savings in cash. Here's how it will go down. Dodd Frank gets repealed, which will remove Capital Reserve requirements from a lot of banks. This means a lot of money removed from the markets will re-enter the money supply. Remember why everyone was talking about how quantitative easing should have caused rampant inflation, but it never did? Those capital reserves are why. So we eat the inflation there. Now, inflation has the potential to be a really good thing for our economy. Lowering the value of the dollar would do a LOT to improve our export economy.Hope you are fans of deregulating banks again.

I don't know about you, but I think it is time to move my savings out of stocks before it is too late.
I bought a condo last year with a fixed rateSo buy a house now and get a FIXED interest rate. Don't wait or you're fucked.
Ok, i'm not much of an expert, but don't most trucks needs roads...The big issue isn't people running across the border in onesies/twosies. Its the ones driving large trucks. It's hard to get a large truck up a ladder.
