Funny (political, religious) pictures

Barron is an anchor baby.
One of the parents was American, and they're a married couple. Anchor baby usually refers to the situation where one (or both) parents have no better means of obtaining a green card other than the priority status that you get from being the immediate relative of a U.S. citizen 21 years or older. In this case, Melania was able to rely on Trump's citizenship to qualify as an immediate relative.

The only participation awards I have been given were for representing my school in the regional chess championships, since it was voluntary (and they wanted to show appreciation for us). Other than that, zilch. Might be a U.S. thing.
And Canadian. I remember them from a field day back around 1982 or so. Unlike @GasBandit's school, though, win, place and show got the proper ribbons.

(Probably. I know there were 1st place ribbons; I'm guessing about the 2nd and 3rd place ribbons)

Like I've said, my daughter very clearly knows the difference between a participant ribbon and an award ribbon, and actually despises getting a participant award because she find it insulting. The only time I ever see people get participant awards with no actual placement awards as well is when kids are really little and none of them really know what they are doing yet.

Aye. I think the kind of place a participation ribbon makes sense is something where you've earned your spot to participate. Yet at the same time, I think a 4th place finisher at the Olympics might be really hate such a thing, too, and a 50th place finisher would probably just rather have a postcard from the host city and pictures from the strip club they partied at the night before their event.

This explains much about the last several Olympiads...

I understand people being sore right now, but if you're going to be triggered by a meme maybe this thread isn't for you right now.

Because that picture wasn't a joke. It was a dig at the whole "DID U KNOW DEMOCRATS WERE SLAVEOWNERS WHAT IS SOUTHERN STRATEGY" bullshit. and it's particularly rich coming from mr "cops are justified when shooting unarmed black kids."

whoo boy, nobody make a dead baby joke right now.

I keep forgetting that this is the serious (political, religious) pictures thread, and that images of Kermit the frog drinking ice tea are always meant to be taken at their word and 100% represent the views and opinions of the poster.
