@Denbrought Skittles used to have "Lime" as the green flavor. A few years ago, they dropped lime in favor of "green apple." Nobody (with any kind of humanity) liked that. And now they're "bringing back" lime.
It's all very reminiscent of the New Coke campaign back in the 80s, where Coca Cola loudly proclaimed they had changed and improved the forumula for their flagship drink and launched it as "New Coke." It was alright, I guess, but nobody really liked it *better.* Then, a year or so later, with much fanfare, they launched "Coca Cola Classic" and sales went through the roof as everybody stampeded back to the old formula.

For what it's worth Nick, if I were single, I'd try to date the hell out of you based on that profile. You look a bit too active /gym-bunny for my liking, and that winter pic is the best, but they're all good and give a good impression of who you are and what you like to do.

I asked Jun what she thought. She thought the second picture with your thumbs up is better than your first. She thought smiling would have been better for the first picture. She wasn't too keen on the mud pictures, because she thought it isn't to anyone's advantage to show pictures of yourself when you're all muddy and dirty (although I tried to argue it gives off an "adventurous" vibe that some people might like). She did notice your eyes weren't on the book, but she did say a lot of girls like her love animals and suggested maybe another cute shot or two with Diomedes and you smiling. My mood was soured by this thread on the PoF forums. The person who said one of my pictures looked unflattering responded, saying it looked like a I had man-boobs. When I said the comment upset me, people said things like, "Well you asked! "and "Grow a thicker skin!" I'm sick and tired of people telling me to get a thicker skin. Why is it so much to ask for people to be just a little more kind, tactful, or considerate?

Having the profile at all wasn't doing me anything, either. I'm at the point where I've pretty much accepted I won't find someone.

My husband has been passed up for a deserved promotion twice in the last year due to upper echelon politics at work. His immediate bosses have been as pissed about it as him and have been terrified that he's going to find a new job (For example, Google is opening a new office in Boulder). We are going out of town for the next week and a half, and both of his immediate bosses have basically told him that he'd better not do any work while he's gone, because it's the only way people are going to realize how much shit only gets done because of him. So I wonder if there will be dumpster fires when we get back.

I just bought my son an iPod shuffle because he wants to be able to listen to music to help him when his mind starts to wander, but he can't use a smart device/iPod because the presence of apps is just too distracting. The people at WalMart barely even remembered where they were because no one buys that ancient tech any more.
