This isn't about a new strip, but it's related to Order of the Stick.

Awhile back, there was a guy in the comments of the Order of the Stick Kickstarter. He spammed every post with "Please explain your absence from this date to this date," relating to Rich Burlew saying in a previous update that he would post again on a specific day. And he missed it. Which, you know, it happens. No biggie. But this guy seemed to take it ridiculously personal, posting over and over "Please explain your absence..." not just in the comments, but harassing Rich about it on Twitter. He then went on this crusade about Rich making up his thumb injury. His evidence being that the art style changed to something more demanding, which is ridiculous for someone to do with a new, permanent disability that affects their output.

And I just discovered the guy is not only still going on this crusade, but made a new Twitter account specifically to "call Rich out." And is claiming he was banned on the forums because of his disability (autism). When it was Rich was just sick of him making incredulous accusations.

I actually had it out with him on the Kickstarter comments because of that ridiculous entitlement over missing that Kickstarter update. It wasn't even promising any rewards. It was just "Yeah, I'll do another update on this day."

Well, I have no problem with the schedule. It's free, I'm enjoying the ride and it'll update when it updates. I'm a little sad when there's a big gap, but whatever.

Same. I've openly stated my love for Order of the Stick multiple times. Do I wish it was updated consistently and more regularly? Absolutely. But I know there are many extenuating circumstances that make that difficult. Undefined health issues (even long before the thumb injury). Desperately trying to finish the self-admitted over-promised Kickstarter campaign rewards. Doing things to keep the business afloat so he can do the comic.

But EVERY comic update is worth the wait because the quality is never disappointing.

You should! It's great. The first 50 or so strips are a bit rough. They're largely one or two-off D&D gag strips, but it morphs into this hilarious fantasy epic with some of the best examples of character development I've ever seen. And it has some of the best foreshadowing and payoffs.

Just had a long conversation with the guy privately on Twitter. I tried, guys. I really tried appealing to this kid's better nature. But he's 24 and you know, a lot of folk that age have issues with entitlement. I sure as hell did. But he refused to listen to reason. He didn't understand that his actions have consequences. He kept saying that Rich went against his forum's own rules in banning him, as if that one post was an isolated incident.

Ugh. At this point, I'm largely convinced he's just a troll.
