Sorry, but this is incorrect. The carrier does not matter. If you had coverage through X insurance company and changed to Y insurance company, as long as there was no meaningful gap (again, I believe it to be 30 days) they have to cover the condition. This is not changing.

It’s like the rest of the world saw the opportunity to start treating us like Bart Simpson was his first day at the Enriched Learning Center for Gifted Children.
On the one hand, I applaud that they are all seizing this rare opportunity to win concessions for their respective homelands. I mean, it’s what they do.
On the other hand, this is going to mean YEARS of work that future (hopefully more competent) Presidents (plural!) will need to put into rebuilding relationships.
