So far, I've only beaten the first movie portion of the game and stated a bit of Jurassic Park II.

It's... okay, I guess? The gags to make the cutscenes silly are always a treat. The puzzles and how they use each character is clever but not difficult, as usual.

But I'm just not digging it like the DC or especially Marvel games. The sandbox over world isn't particularly fun to traverse and is actually pretty limited. And the amount of times you get to play as a dinosaur is really limited.

I might keep playing it, but I'm not as engaged as I usually am.

You do get to play as a dinosaur a lot more when you're free roaming around the world. Building custom dinos was fun for me.

Getting around that "open" world is a pain the ass though. Because they wanted to limit the paths you could take in story mode, and didn't open things up after the story finishes, getting around often requires looping around in circles to get to somewhere that's just on the other side of a bush. It didn't ruin my fun, but it did feel stupid.

At least it didn't feel as limited as the LEGO Movie game.

I'm currently playing LEGO City Undercover, and I guess I'm lucky because it's not crashing on me, or having any other major glitches, yet. In fact, it's pretty damn awesome. There are a lot of great bits of comedy (I loved Morgan Freeman as Blue and the parody of The Shawshank Redemption.) I can't wait to roam around the city finding stuff when I've got all the abilities unlocked.

Running a bit late. Trying to cook dinner and found out we have no butter. So I have to run to the store. And then cook. About an hour later than normal.

I think it's fine, but it's still an MMO and the main story quest is interesting if you can sit through cut scenes, but it's poorly designed and makes you spend 75% of the time teleporting back and forth.

Though the teleporting thing is only for pre-HW content. Once you're in the expansions, this stops ever being a thing.

No, they aren't. But it is worth mentioning to folks who DO like the game enough to sub/buy the expansions. They had to cut a lot of corners in that first year and a half of dev time for 2.0 and it shows, but they made sure not to repeat them down the line when they actually had a proper dev cycle again.

No, but I'm playing on Primal Data Center, Malboro server if you want to play with me or join my free company. You don't have to be on the same server to party with people, but you do have to be on the same data center. Also, PS4 and PC all play together, if for example you prefer playing on a console.

I’m thinking I will download the free demo on my PS4. My PC laptop didn’t survive my daughter’s birthday party. I think the keyboard is physically broken and my MAC isn’t a gaming machine, I bought a photography etc machine.

I thought I was pretty clear. Green names = Servers associated with the AETHER Data Center. Purple names = Servers Associated with the Primal Data Center. You can only play with players on your Data Center. This is basically just to let you know where the servers from Crystal are moving too.

This is actually kind of a big deal for the RP community: all the RP happens on Balmung and it's been locked up for years with no access. But with the upcoming World Visit system, players on it's new Data Center will be able to go to Balmung and join in.

I started up a new game in Prison Architect. I think I've managed to isolate the cause of my previous crashes to guards using their taser, for some reason, so now I've simply avoided researching tasers, and the game runs fine.

I've also activated the game mode where there are no limits to the types of contraband that can be smuggled into the prison, which has led to hilarious results. Instead of your usual suspects like booze, cell phones, drugs, cigarettes, shanks, etc, people are trying to smuggle in submachine guns, rakes, hoses, guard uniforms, cleaning brushes, gardening shears, etc. Someone tried to mail a freaking sniper rifle into my prison. Fortunately I have guards sorting the mail, so they found the gun before it reached any prisoners' hands, but still.

Has this installed for awhile. Can't even remember how I got it; I THINK in Humble Bundle Monthly.

Anyway, I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I love the setting and especially the art style. I never get tired of seeing all the different character designs. Hopefully i keep on it through to the end.

I find big, Metrovania games like this hard to return to if I take a break from it. It happened to me with others like Axiom Verge, Guacamelee, Outland. All great games that I enjoyed... until I took a break from them. Then I'd try loading them up again...and I'm completely at a loss for where I left off. I've yet to beat any of those games. I think I got pretty close to beating Axiom Verge.

I find this with most open games like this. Stardew Valley and Cities Skylines, for example. I'll forget what I was building towards or something.

Still, I'm enjoying Hollow Knight right now.

Now that Kenshi has upgraded to 1.0 after being in "Early Access" for many years, I fired it up again after having it lounge around in my Library for at least
4 years. Still needs some optimization, but it is a full game. Kinda Mad Max meets Mount and Blade.

I think I've managed to kick my WoW fever (round 4), and have dropped back into Civilization VI with the new Gathering Storm expac. Enjoying so far. Should not have settled a city next to Mount Vesuvius... that was a poor choice.
