Yeah, the Shelob stuff is dumb as shit and I'm PRETTY sure it's nowhere even close to anything Tolkein intended, even in the ancillary appendix stuff. I was just thinking yesterday, "I wonder what Tolkein would think of these games and what they do with his work?" Like everyone else, I could see him being amused by the orc personalities.

I totally understand! I've had many a game where I really wanted to enjoy it but there was one or two particular things that dragged it down for me. I found once I accepted the tank stuff, I just went along with the groove of it. It's definitely the least enjoyable part of the game, I'll admit. But there's something about that I keep coming back to and replaying it. It just hits all the open world sandbox buttons for me, you know? Like I just mentioned with Shadow of War, I reinstalled it just to see how pretty it is, and found myself falling back into the groove of playing it.
Shadow of War does that for me. I love the orc interaction so much that I welcomed doing the fortresses again, etc.
As to your spoiler, no. It's much later than that, and you'll know it when it happens.

If you're not there yet, no way have you unlocked all the useful powers yet. Some of them are locked behind story content and stuff. Flying drakes or riding graugs doesn't get old soon. Swapping between half a dozen dire caragors as needed and killing whole fortresses with them doesn't either.

Alder's Blood just came out, and had a 25% off sale, so I plunked down 15 bucks to try it.
It's basically X-COM meets Darkest Dungeon. Or at least it wants to be. It's buggy AF and I'm not sure they're really done with it yet... kinda needs to go back in the oven til it's done cooking.

Honestly, the controls for flying the stakes aren't very enjoyable for me. But as far as missions go, I have most of the side missions done now. Only missions left are the necromancer and the Nazgul, which I think is the main story campaign. I've unlocked mostly we everything.
Yeah, I personally prefer Graugs, too, because the Drakes are finicky. They handle much better in the open air, yet the missions are mostly in caverns. Makes no sense.
Anyway, I'm now throroughly confused as to how far in the game you are.

Welp, I'm done with this game. Got to "that" part of the game and now I have to defend my fortresses. Which would be fine...if I didn't have to spend tons of in-game money upgrading my fortress. Or a bunch of micromanaging on my hopelessly underleveled orcs. Fuck that shit. I already watched the ending cut scene if I get past the "Shadow Wars" stuff. It's not worth the grind to get there.

What's worse is I was trying to figure out how to earn more money to upgrade. And it all pretty much involves grinding all kinds of shit. Yeah, just not worth it.
I wonder if I had a better time because I didn't spend any money through the main game and so had everything saved up?

Has anyone played the Ff7 remake?
I restarted Hollow Knight. With more familiarity, maybe I could find things more easily? Also, without taking breaks to play other games for weeks/months like before.
How bad were these breaks? I looked at my trophies.

I wanted to play during eastern.
But DHL kinda lost my preorder or something like that. I mean the status is still "in delivery" but for some reason the paket was sent to Augsburg (811 km away) and not to the postal office in my town after it couldn`t be put in a paket station.
Because of the current situation I don't mind waiting longer for stuff being delivered but this seems unreasonable.
I have something arriving from DHL for our daughter. It was stuck in limbo for a week. I finally contacted the Amazon vendor. If there is any money due on delivery, (duty and HST in our case) DHL isn’t delivering as they won’t take payment, even by card, in person.
I understand their reasons, however at no time did they ever communicate this to us. So......I called them and found out via recording. I paid online as requested and hopefully after the long weekend, someone will deliver it.

Getting back into Wizard101 again because it's something the entire household (ages ranging from 10-67) can do together simultaneously without having to actually be in the same room together AND because it doesn't require 100% attention, we can do something else while playing it. Camaraderie and autonomy in equal measure.

Bioshock 2 was generally considered inferior to Bioshock 1, while HL2:EP1 is considered approximately the same quality as HL2, just shorter. I dunno if that'll influence your decision at all. I personally like them both, though, so if you're craving more Rapture, then I say go for it.
I’m weak. I bought the FF7 remake. I’ve been so sick and video games are about all the energy I have.
I love Skyrim. I’m so glad that I played again after losing my save on the PS3.

There's Avalanche cells? Man, this is "something" so far. But I am enjoying the combat system.
Reno is legit the most annoying fight I've had in any video game since like that fight against that ninja asshole in Mass Effect 3. It didn't help that my materia setup from the last boss fight was worthless. No cure, thunder bound to elemental weapon. Awfuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuul.
