Democratic Primary: Crisis of infinite candidates

In what world is Hillary coming out and endorsing Biden helpful? She's not going to turn the needle on anybody's vote except negatively.

My guess? Wealthy White Female Democrats, who still (justifiably) feel a bit snubbed from the last election where the Actual Left decided to stay home instead of supporting their candidate. This might just be a fund raising move; Biden isn't any more popular with most of the Democrats than he is with us, they might need the money for advertisements.

Biden is getting some well-deserved flak from feminists and progressives for his alleged history of sexual misconduct and assault. Someone clearly thought an endorsement from her would somehow make that better.

At this rate the presidential debate will be Trump and Biden, except it'll be the duck season/wabbit season cartoon with "Grab 'em by the:" and the two of them ripping down the posters:
"P*ssy!"
"Shoulders!"
"P*ssy!"
"Shoulders!"

Yeah guys, why would anyone think that the candidate that got the most votes in 2016 has any popularity to use to help the current party candidate...

Totally makes no sense.

She's also the only presidential candidate in history to lose to Donald Trump. That's got to be a dubious honor

Follow the money. Trump tried to shake down Ukraine for dirt on Biden, and discovered they didn't have any/didn't want to share. China got the same shakedown, they came up with something that was pretty much already known about Biden.

...If I didn't know the GOP better, I'd swear they were grasping for straws.

While I disagree with one or two of the statements in that piece by Stern - I most certainly do know victims who stayed silent "out of respect" for the person who assaulted them - I tend to agree with him overall that this isn't the most credible claim I've heard or seen.
I'm absolutely certain Biden was overly familiar with women, and has made them feel harassed or put upon - paternalistic, holding hands, petting, stroking hair, what-have-you. Which I'm not saying is great behavior! The time to come out with a sexual assault charge was last year, when there were numerous reports of his misconduct, though, not another year later when your first report didn't matter enough so you feel like upping the ante.

As a victim of sexual abuse myself, I can attest lively to the fact that, while some people seem to believe all such moments/acts are "forever burned into your brain" exactly as they happen, this is absolutely not true - while I'm certain of some things and some actions, there are some others where my own memories conflict - I have clear memories of something happening, and clear memories they didn't. Left to fester unresolved in your head, abuse memories can get worse over time. By which I do not mean she's necessarily just wildly fantasizing. Or being truthful. Or not. We'll see if there are suddenly other people coming forward, but in this cas, I'm more or less inclined to give him, more than her, the benefit of the doubt. Which may be toxic masculinity from my side, too. I dunno. It's hard to say anything about such cases without coming off as either dismissive or politically interested or whatever.

It's too bad his campaign is especially damaging since the democrats are running the "let's get republicans who don't like trump and the left can go fuck themselves" campaign. Who could've seen this going badly?

.........HOW ARE YOU THE BEST THE DEMOCRATS CAN DO?

We went to the restaurant heard all pf the specials, asked about subscriptions, really got in depth with where they sourced their meats and dairy and then we agree to just have the plain bread

And I'll happily agree that isn't the greatest meal - but the alternative is rotten, raw meat with maggots crawling all over it and full of hormones.
Yeah, it sucks that because of the vegan, the gluten-free eater, the paleo, the keto diet plan guy, and the guy who's allergic to tomato, we ended up with...Well, not plain bread, apparently, err, raw carrots? Or something? My analogy got away from me. Anyway "at least it's got taste" or "real men want meat, not vegetables!" aren't good enough reasons to choose the rotten maggotty meat.
I sure would've preferred the choice between a good bowl of chili and a nice rib-eye, but them's the breaks if it has too come down to just two choices in a huge group.

The point is well made and come hell or highwater I'll be voting for Biden for president. I'm just unsure he has what it takes to win.

Based on how much evidence has come out supporting Tara Reade's claims, how THE FUCK do you go on TV and say don't vote for me if you believe her? So God damn stupid.

Ugh, we already knew he wasn’t the best choice for the nominee, but why’s he gotta go and prove it to everybody?
