[News] The USA Police State will never satisfy its lust for beating, gassing, and imprisoning minorities

Was he white? I'll bet he was white.
This time it was a hispanic male, instead of a white male, but he did have a propaganda booklet with him about how "All Lives Matter," and how the world shouldn't be thrown into this much chaos just because a black man died, when the world has done so much worse stuff to Hispanic, Asian, and white people.

Oh, and while it's no proof of anything other than that he likes to shop online, he was wearing a Union Ironworker/Welder sweatshirt, in the Stars and Stripes style - so it has an American flag on the back and a welder's mask over a crossed wrench and welding torch on the front. Former schoolmates of his who contacted the authorities said that he was a union local 86 member. Also, he's been released on $1,000 bail. No charges. No news of a court date yet. This is, however, better than the incident here in Coos County, down in Coos Bay, where a man threatened peaceful protesters with a gun, and was taken into custody and released on his own recognizance (per state law), and no police report has been filed so the DA's looking to drop the case on July 8, when he goes into court.

The Seattle police, who've continuously lied about their use of force and such are currently emptying out one of their precincts according to people watching it happen.

If it burns down, I would suspect it.

Would you know, that's the same thing everyone is saying right now. The protesters have put guards on the building to try to keep people from messing with it. The PD left the door unlocked. There are also claims that the Proud Boys are going to take up where the cops left off when they walked away from their line, and reports of a suspicious person in a silver SUV that was loading rounds into several magazines while harassing black people on the street; and reports of a silver Lexus without plates that's been seen patrolling around the protest and looking sketchy, and that they may have already attempted to hit two pedestrians on the sidewalk just SE of the protest.

So, just for an update on that potential burning and sacking of the third precinct, the group of protesters has finally, tonight, managed to drown out one of the primary nightly speakers. This is good, because the mayor couldn't get his name out of her damn mouth yesterday during a press briefing that was taking place at the same time that SPD went off against protesters, and started pepper-gassing them; and kept referring to him as one of her activists. Once he'd been chased off, a very vocal group of extremely angry black men took over the megaphones. They're from BLM. Omari Salisbury is rumored to be FBI. He works for a "media marketing" firm out of Seattle that was established in late 2019, the website looks like the least professional thing out there, and for some reason every line on the page is drawn with coordinates. Every. Single. Line. Each button outline, the ouroborus that is their logo, literally every line is drawn by coordinate in HTML. It's fucking insane. It makes no damn sense, and the registrar data is even wackier.

So tonight, the BLM activists, Payday, Magik, and a dude whose name hasn't been said yet, are in charge. They've set up watches. They've barricaded off the streets surrounding the police station. They've barricaded the building and secured the door. They have camera angles providing overwatch on every approach to each intersection in a two block radius. They have a professional community organizer running the comms on just one of their OVERWATCH teams. If that building burns down tonight, it won't be until a lot of blood has been shed.

Oh, and one of the things that has been communicated quite clearly to the activists is that if the Proud Boys do show up tonight, there is going to be A LOT of white on white violence.

Edit: Finally heard the third dude's name - Thousand Pardons.

Yeah, and she was the one they were working on in the medical tent on Sunday night when they hit the tent with 4 flash bangs. She almost died a second time from that attack. What the police have been doing in Seattle and Portland is nothing short of criminal. Those fuckers have been firing point blank directly at medics and the press. Watching one of the Portland streams, we watched/listened as a journalist, who has a press pass, as well as a helmet with PRESS marked on it from working in Syria; get shot in the hand with a rubber bullet. The cops aimed at his press pass. The same night they arrested one of his colleagues for asking an officer's name because their badge was covered. A few nights before that, or maybe the night before, because this is all running together on me now, the mayor repealed the curfew, but the cops declared the protest an unlawful assembly anyway and at one point opened fire with tear gas canisters directly into streets full of vehicle traffic - no curfew means working delivery drivers and people driving home from what few jobs are left open right now. The protesters had to keep helping drivers out of their vehicles because they were getting gassed and then nearly crashing or nearly running over large groups of protesters, because they couldn't see or breathe in their cars.

Have to clean some things up without edits because my 2FA app won't sync with Gared anymore. So, the bail has been set at $150,000. He has been confirmed by mass media as a union ironworker. The $1000 bail incident occurred in 2011, it was a simple 4th degree assault charge. The bail requested was $300,000, but the defense talked them down to $150,000 because of his "ties to the community" (his brother worked at 3rd precinct) and because he's too poor to pay $300k right now. He's been charged ONLY with first degree assault. Not first degree assault with a deadly weapon. Not attempted manslaughter. Not anything more serious than if he'd hit someone with his fist, instead of trying to hit a bunch of people with his car and hitting one dude with a fucking bullet.

Meanwhile, Seattle Police arrested a man named Evan Hreha on Sunday on suspicion of using a laser, which would have been a felony. They held him until late yesterday evening without charging him, but also without allowing him access to an attorney, because he'd only been detained, he hadn't been arrested. His real crime was having been the journalist/press agent/whoozit that caught video evidence of a 9 year old girl who'd been maced by cops during a peaceful, daytime rally in the streets of downtown Seattle on the second day of protesting. SPD is getting geofencing warrants signed by sympathetic judges and arresting everyone whose GPS pinged inside the net, often days later.

In newer news:
The protesters have declared an Autonomous Zone - The Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, or CHAZ. It's a six block zone surrounding the 3rd Precinct building. It's guarded by people with very impressive looking guns (they're "strapped"). Portable toilets and food have been sent in. Independent media are the only media allowed in right now.

In newest news:
The protesters have just taken city hall in Seattle. They are inside the complex/building and are holding a press conference/public open grievance mic. They have at least one city councilwoman with them, on their side. They are now demanding that the mayor, Jenny Durkan, resign.

Man are people dense. So a former co-worker from when both George Floyd and Derek Chauvin worked at the same night club says they both knew each other and butted heads often over Derek's use of force with unruly patrons. This news, while interesting, isn't really super remarkable, but it does change the possible dynamic of the two a little bit. However, the one thing it does not do? Prove it was not about systemic racism.

That is the new argument skeptics are trying to use because if the murder was a "personal vendetta" then race was not a factor in the killing, by their logic.

It can be both a personal beef AND racist you jack-holes. They are not somehow mutually exclusive outlooks here. The co-worker even said part of why they argued was because George felt Derek seemed to rough up the black patrons harsher then the white ones. This isn't your "See it's not racism" card.

Not to mention, if George Floyd was some kind of outlier, there wouldn't be a national outrage in the same way. It's because he isn't.

My fear is my vote for Biden won’t count anyway because I’ll have vomited all over the ballot, making it unreadable.

As an aging white guy, I'm wondering: is the inability to read a goddamned room part of the Caucasian aging process? I hope not.

That money would be better spent shoring up all of the education funding that gets cut every time the economy takes a downturn.

Or just about anything else.
