What are you listening to II: Electric Bogaloo

@Cat , I hope you had a chance to listen to In the Future.

Here are the two new songs for Wild Type Droid released so far. What I love about this band is they aren't afraid of changing things up.

I REALLY like Headstand. It put me off at first but it really grew on me the more listens I had. It's what I love most about this band, how tones and chords at first feel off but then are suddenly obvious and perfect.
In The Future was an awesome album. I thought Heart kinda sounded like an old band finding a groove, this was the confident band they should have been after Fantastic Planet

Had to chase it with this from another favorite band

Yeah, huge fan of In the Future. They released it in 4 parts, like 4 EP's at first before releasing the entire album together, and it's solid all the way through.

That's kinda how I ended up listening to it, in like 3 or 4 parts with breaks. It works well that way

Failure: Wild Type Droid.... holy man, this is so good. It instantly throws you off and slowly wins you back. They show what a veteran band can do when they keep producing new music, bridging the gap between their old music and new music while at the same time creating something altogether new.

A+

Ok, here are two songs I adore.

I think Long Division is my favorite... but honestly, it keeps changing. The songs are so odd and perfect in their own way. Quintessential Failure. But the vocals on Long Division are heartbreaking, and I love it.

Woke up feeling like I should listen to Heliocentric and Anthropocentric again, possibly the only great art inspired by atheism

I've discovered that I like electroswing:

Jamie Berry Feat. Octavia Rose - Make Me Believe

Jamie Berry Feat. Octavia Rose - Lost In the Rhythm

I Wanna Be Like You (Sim Gretina Remix)

Everybody Wants To Be A Cat (Dave Wave Remix)

I've actually heard this one. I'll be darned if I can remember where, though.
I think I first heard it on a Hearthstone Mythbusters video on YouTube, it's just taken me years to decide I want to listen to Electroswing more than just occasionally.

So I've been in a bout of depression lately. Not to say I haven't been handling it well, I feel like I've honed my too acute sense of self awareness to be able to understand my mental state and adjust accordingly, I haven't even needed my medication in over a year, so that's pretty good.

But in short this is the general vibe right now

Anything from Inside is just so fucking brilliant.

edit: Something I've been thinking for some time about this special. If you watch any of his older stuff you'll notice that his voice has changed quite a bit. It's matured and carries a much warmer sound than it used to. He's really grown into his voice.

Honestly Inside is one of the best pieces of art I've ever seen, I've watched it start to finish at least five times, and whenever someone asks me what my favorite thing on netflix is I don't know how to state my love of it without making them immediately worry about me.

Three songs in this video. All of them are pretty great. It’s a good one to throw some headphones on, close your eyes, lay back, and just listen.

*I should probably mention it does deal with suicide in the first song, in case it’s something people want to avoid.

Man, out of the trainwreck that is Cyberpunk 2077, an incredible punk album was born when CDPR had Swedish punk band Refused be the stand-in for Johnny Silverhand's band Samurai. The whole thing is a fantastic album. But I particularly like Black Dog and Archangel.

RTJ made a track for them too, and it's great.
