And just when I thought Superfrat's worst quality was it's overuse of copypasta and lack of character, the recent comics have devolved into right wing anti-vaxer trash .
How many people were you playing with and why did you play with people that hate you?Oh they're playing Red Dragon Inn. I've literally lost the game before my first turn in that one.
Three other people. Don't go last and win a huge round of gambling on the first player's turn after winning the last game spectacularly. How many people were you playing with and why did you play with people that hate you?
When a high-function autistic guy can't read the clues for "you can put it in my butt"
At least 50% of Zach Weinersmith's humor is "obsessively pedantic demagoguery, usually by a neurotic sociopath with opaque eyeglasses"When a high-function autistic guy can't read the clues for "you can put it in my butt"
Yeah, I'm a big follower of the comics (and SMBC Theater back when it was a thing). I just couldn't let that pass by without commentary. At least 50% of Zach Weinersmith's humor is "obsessively pedantic demagoguery, usually by a neurotic sociopath with opaque eyeglasses"
But yeah, when I saw that question in Not Another Teen Movie, I practically blurted out "BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THAT MEANS. WHERE ELSE IS HE GOING TO PUT IT, IN YOUR ARMPIT?"
I find it curious that you proclaim to be such a fan of SMBC when you have said how much you are not a fan of XKCD. That dichotomy seems counterintuitive.I'm a big follower of the comics (and SMBC Theater back when it was a thing).
Those both strike me as pretty different styles of humor.I find it curious that you proclaim to be such a fan of SMBC when you have said how much you are not a fan of XKCD. That dichotomy seems counterintuitive.

Because SMBC is funny?I find it curious that you proclaim to be such a fan of SMBC when you have said how much you are not a fan of XKCD. That dichotomy seems counterintuitive.

How come the unofficial stuff is better than what DC is offering?Batman: Wayne Family Adventures, makes me very happy.
Surprisingly, this is official DC stuff. (Maybe you just meant out-of-canon?)How come the unofficial stuff is better than what DC is offering?
Oh wait, because of their trageted audience.
Glove & Boots also suffered badly from the overpromises made by Facebook to video content creators. They recovered a little bit, but yeah, they got screwed over several times. I don't think it helps that they kept changing things up in the hopes of finding their niche. They'd have the odd brilliant video, but a lot of their stuff just...wasn't very good. A lack of consistent quality hurt them.Clearing out my inactive feeds to try to move from Feedly to The Old Reader, and as I go through here's me pouring out one for webcomics I liked that just seem to have petered out and died.
Abstruse Goose, which just stopped updating. People kept accusing it of ripping off XKCD.
Brentalfloss the comic, which at least got a song about its end
Brutally Honest, whose last comic was about how much it hurts her hands to draw
Busty Girls Comics - ended years ago but I just never got around to removing it
C-Section Comics also faded away without explanation
Critical Miss - Escapist isn't kind to its content creators, apparently
Cyanide and Happiness, which stopped updating its RSS feed at the end of 2021 (but still makes comics, I just won't bother going to the site)
Digital PIMP online, another one that stopped updating suddenly
Dragons Burn, who discovered they could just draw porn on Patreon instead, which I can respect but I would have liked more of this story
Dungeon Grind also just stopped updating without explanation
Eagle Ordinary, whose website vanished
Erin Dies Alone - another Escapist victim
Fanboys Online, poof
The Frumps - ended in 2018 by the author due to a "lack of success"
Gu Comics kinda died with the MMO craze
Gunshow
Hamlet's Danish
I am Arg! - petered out and stopped posting in 2016, except for one April Fool's comic in 2019
I think I love a Derp - broke up with the derp in real life, so the content dried up.
Interrobang studios, though apparently k-bo is still doing stuff over on his own website
It's the Tie - decided to start posting exclusively to funnyjunk instead of his own hosting, and there's no way I was touching that.
JL8 - just kinda stopped updating
Let's Be Friends Again - I guess it kinda died with Tumblr
Let's Speak English! - apparently the author just moved on to other projects without any kind of notification on this comic's status
Manly Guys Doing Manly Things - artist burned out. RIP thepunchlineismachismo.com
Menage a 3 (I knew this one was over 3 years ago, guess I never got around to removing the feed)
Mess By Accident - updates slowed, stopped. Smelled like artist burnout
Our Valued Customers - moved to Patreon, I didn't follow it there.
Ramen Empire - another one that updates just cut off
Redpanels.com - officially ended in 2018
School Bites seems to have gotten lost in the Pixie Trix shuffle
Scurry - on indefinite hiatus
Sore Thumbs - despite teasing a return during the Trump era, it never materialized.
Supervillainous - officially ended by Zappit, but still reading his new comic "Huzzah!" of course.
Table Titans - "Don't worry, Table Titans is alive and well!" - Kurtz, in the last comic update to appear, June 18, 2020
Taihen! (aka Adorkable) - "I hope I'll be back one day!" - the artist, 2018
The Gamercat - on indefinite hiatus due to author's health issues
Three Word Phrase - artist was hired to work on Regular Show and never updated again
Thermohalia had a really interesting first few chapters and then poof
Trash Knight, whose author had a mental breakdown
Two Guys and a Guy - I barely remember reading this, but it was in there...
VG Cats (actually did update once in 2021, which I missed)
Virtual Shackles - stopped updating
Waffles and Pancakes - ended somewhat gracefully
You Suck! The Comic - kinda the same thing as Two Guys and a Guy
Additionally, I found a surprising number of comics stopped using their original hosting and moved over to webtoons.com without any kind of notification, so if you have a comic you liked (like In Your Face Cake, Kipen Manga, and others) that just suddenly stopped posting, it might be worth seeing if they moved over to webtoons.com.
Honorable mention -
Glove and Boots. Not a comic, but a youtube channel. Never recovered after Youtube pivoted to separating out kids content from adult, and they refused to get a patreon. The show died off and the creators have apparently gone their separate ways.
To be fair, Mary stopped updated when she stopped teaching in Japan. She has mentioned this on her sites/blogs. She's been making Sleepless Domain for years, which I follow (and how I know about this).JL8 - just kinda stopped updating
Let's Speak English! - apparently the author just moved on to other projects without any kind of notification on this comic's status
