It's like we go into these movies already not knowing the gruesome death of everyone except the main character.Looked more like all!
Nostalgia as a dotting old lady with literal rose colored glasses is brilliant.
Also, I only just realized that Awkwafina is not the one voicing Anxiety. I don't know why I thought she was, maybe it's because she was basically in everything for a while? And Anxiety seems like the kind of character she'd voice?
That looks cute and clever!.... I assume they are going to skip the whole "Blurred Lines" debacle? I'm not sure I want to see that play out in Lego.
Piece by Piece a biopic about Pharrell Williams told in LEGO.
Awesome!

No, that's Paddington in Rwanda.Oh no, they deported him.
I briefly had that thought, but Elle never lied about her credentials.So... it's basically Legally Blonde but with astronauts?
So it’s basically that episode of the Simpsons where Homer goes into Space?I briefly had that thought, but Elle never lied about her credentials.
True, but it does seem to be retreading the completely-unqualified-person-is-selected-for-prestigious-role-because-someone-wanted-more-diversity-and-is-a-complete-fish-out-of-water-but-ultimately-perseveres-because-she's-awesome-like-that ground.I briefly had that thought, but Elle never lied about her credentials.

Because Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc. have made this movie over and over. The details change, of course, but they all are formulaic and bland to a fault. This trailer is so loaded with lazy, shitty tropes that we could probably predict the entire plot, beat by beat, without seeing the actual film. Why does it feel like I've seen that movie before somehow?

Fair. Obviously I have certain negative views of these kinds of movies, but if you enjoy them… great! You do you. As long as someone is enjoying them, they are worthwhile. And yet that’s all the reasons I’m there for it.
Interesting. I’m hoping this isn’t going to the same well one too many times. I like that Timm is involved again, but we have Abrams there too.Batman: Caped Crusader
(Animated series debuting on Prime on August 1.)
Yessir.
This does look interesting. Since the camera doesn't move the quality of the film will likely strongly hinge on the actors' performances, but I have faith that Tom Hanks and Robin Wright have what it takes to pull it off. Maybe it'll feel more like a play on stage at times? Here

I don't know if this will be good, but I like the concept. It seems like a neat experiment for a film to try.
"So, are we going to try improving on Sabretooth's low-budget look from a movie nearly 25 years ago?"
