Ugh! No more opening games to the public. We ended up with spammers and raqequitters. It didn't help that pings were ridiculously high for one team (mps.Wrath and Evil Fairy). Shawnacy and I were the only ones to stick out the full game.Gonna try and get a Versus match going now on Saturday evening. Come join in!
For the 360 it will probably cost, as Crash Course did. On the PC... I'm hoping it will be free. No pricing has been announced yet and, as escushion said, there is varied speculation on the matter. Will The Passing be offered as a free DLC though or not?
You won't be able to trade in any PC version of the game, even if you buy it at retail. Once a copy gets registered to a Steam account, it's locked in.Also, any sale of it would be through Steam if you're waiting on The Passing, and you won't be able to trade it in later if you buy it that way.
BTW, what happens if you delete the account?! Can you even do that?!You won't be able to trade in any PC version of the game, even if you buy it at retail. I don't play often, but I'll certainly play if invited. Any time you want someone to game with, send one out. I'll be glad to share what I know of strategy, or just keep my mouth shut and let you learn it on your own, whichever works best for you. I don't see your Steam name listed in the stickied thread so, if you want people to be able to see when you're playing and join you, make sure to post it.Well I got the first Left 4 Dead. It was cheap and will see how this one plays before I get the second one.
I already resserved Bad Company 2 and Modnation Racers for the PS3 so I'm slightly tight on games now.
Does anyone still play this online or is this not as popular now that you guys are all playing L4D2. I never
got into this type of genre until now so I'm a bit slow on this type of genre.
Rule Number 1: Don't worry too much about head shots. They will generally drop anything except a Tank in one hit (Tanks don't take headshot damage) but you get so much ammo it's hardly an issue. Just unload on them.I'm on Steam but I hadn't been on it in awhile due to getting bored with TF2.
If anyone wants to add me its: cldwnter or CldWnter. Try either one.
I'm used to shooters. I started out on them with the original Half Life and Battleifeld 1942.
Ahh the good old days of PC gaming.
I'm unfamiliar though with playing zombies games when I meant genre wise on this.
This can be risky in L4D1 Co-op, since fire makes the tank run faster than a survivor. You've got to have obstacles to slow down the tank in order to out-run him.Rule Number 4: If you see a Tank, try to light him up with a Molotov. Then try to find an open area to run around in to avoid the Tank. There is only like 1 Map where a Tank can extinguish itself, so it's a death sentence for them as long as you can run around.
No go. Oh well. Saturday, probably 8pm Eastern / 7pm Central.Gonna fire up L4D2, see if we can get a Versus game going. Invites are going to start going out a little after 9pm Eastern.

If you're going to shoot the tank, why set him on fire? In L4D1 Co-op setting a tank on fire starts a timer and the tank dies after a set time. The fire doesn't do any direct damage (unlike L4D1 versus or the L4D2 tank). Why make the tank faster if you can take him down faster with guns than with fire?there isn't a single map where you can't ether drop them before they get to you or split up and waste them before they kill anyone.
