Even a white Arizona Sheriff says he won't enforce the law because it doesn't provide any new tools to fight illegals and encourages racial profiling:

According to Kris Kobach, a constitutional law professor who helped to draft this Arizona bill, law enforcement officers "may not consider race, color or national origin" in making any stops or determining any aliens' immigration status. That is in the bill.

So.... what do they consider? What is the criteria for stopping someone who "looks like they might be illegal"?

I hope you don't mind, but I'm going with Politifacts checking of the Arizona bill rather than the author. I seem to remember another legal adviser who said waterboarding isn't torture.

Interesting article. I wonder how would you "suspect" a person who is undocumented illegal if not by race or color?
