A bold claim is, most simply, a claim you make that you put in bold.
For this thread, it should be something about popular (or not popular) media. Movies, books, music, comics, TV, uhh... if I'm leaving out your favorite form of story-telling I apologize. It should be something a little outlandish, hopefully provocative, and never obvious to start debate. Calling Godfather the greatest movie of all time? That could be true, but it is lame. And it definitely is not a bold claim.
I'll start with one I realized tonight when I finally purchased a movie I've been meaning to own for a while.
The only three Batman movies I have any urge to rewatch are Batman! The Movie, Batman Forever, and The Dark Knight.
I don't mean to post this thread and run, but I'll be back in the morning with maybe new bold claims, or replies or more discussion. This is somewhat of an open season thread for arguing about movies/tv/comics/whatever, since I enjoy doing that a lot.
